The upcoming new sedan is the Volkswagen 1.6 Polo. India will not be getting 1.6 Polo hatchback. What I really don't understand is - why would Volkswagen sell a sedan for something less than 8 Lakhs?? Big mystery and it is making me sick..!!

what a trash VW is bringing to india. the fate will be the same as the Logan. why don't they simply bring the new polo sedan...no wonder Jeremy Clarkson told VW produces the most boring cars in the world.

Hi All,

Unlike some people are arguing here, this is not Gol. This is Volkswagen Polo sedan. Even the newpaper the person who started this thread was referring to suggests the same. i am attaching a screenshot.

IMO, a lot would depend on how Polo hatchback does in India. VW would have to fine tune their response based on that.

No offense to the authors of Cars Bikes India | New Cars 2010 | New Motorcycles 2010 | Indian Auto Reviews. While all the established media is talking about the sedan based on the recently launched polo, where did they get an idea that even after Volkswagen developing a sedan on the latest platform on the polo, which is already been launched in India, they will bother getting an older car. Doesn't make any sense to me!
