Ranking of hatchbacks in India Based on looks.

Folks,

I am interested in knowing the ranking of hatchbacks on india on looks. Looking for a general consensus kind of thing. kind of what the aam aadmi thinks

. Just was talking to a friend today about Punto looks and i told him that the punto has to be the best looking hatchback and he comes back and tells me that the punto looks reminds him of a dead lizard!!! and that he hates the looks. So thought i will put a poll/thread on the looks to see what the consensus is like

For me from looks prespective this is the ranking.
1. Punto
2. Palio
3. Figo
4. Polo
5. i20
6. swift
7. indica vista
8. ritz
9. Astar
10. i10
11. Beat
12. Santro
13. Spark
14. Alto
15. Fabia

Your friend must be 'Damn High' to compare Punto with a dead Lizard :-)

I'm surprised to see the Figo getting such a good rating for its looks. Its quite ordinary in terms of styling and apart from the novelty factor now, its quite a bland design.

The Punto wins this one easy unless you want to consider the Beetle/500

Wanted to include Fabia also in the list but its radiator grill just spoils the look. Most of the other hatches doesn't look good in my eyes.

Many will have Punto and i20 in the top. i20 Stands second in my list because I feel that the freshness of the design will fade quicker than Punto's design. Punto has that second look guaranteed anytime.

Well, you can't blame him. I also have a friend who thinks that Punto is the worst looking hatch. I told him that he is in a micro-minority of people who doesn't like the looks of Punto. Good thing is that he realized that majority like its looks. It happens, we even have people who just love the looks of DZire!

Looking at the responses so far, I feel more happier than some folks were, when they knew that their not-so-good-looking car sold a couple of lakhs in numbers. I own the best looking hatch in the country!!

1. i20
2. Punto
3. Polo
4. Swift
5. Figo
6. Palio
7. Ritz
8. i10
9. Beat
10.Vista

For me the cars that hold the first 3 postions in the list are the best lookers! Among them some colours look so astonishingly beautiful sometimes I cannot figure out which I like better!
