I just came across this:

SPIED! New GM MPV

General Motors has an alliance with Chinese company Wuling. Wuling makes the largest selling vehicle in China, an MPV called the Sunshine. And it is this vehicle that will be in India soon as GM's latest offering for the country and BSM spied it testing.

Is it the same GM Wagon or is Sunshine a totally different car?

This is the "Wuling Sunshine" and is scheduled to be launched by GM in India most probably in 2012 re-badged as a Chevrolet. This is a SAIC designed and developed vehicle and not by GM. Please remember that the GM India plant is 50 % (or is it 51%?) owned by SAIC. GM and SAIC also have a common design center in China.

Even the Compact Sedan GM Sail that will be launched in 2012 is a SAIC vehicle.

Actually the car in the pic from BSM seems to be the Wuling Hong Guang, based on the shape of the ORVM and the creases on the side.

The Sunshine should be an Omni/Eeco competitor and this one the RIII.
