What would be a good price for a
2005 Toyota Corolla. H5. 48k on odo. New Michelin tires. Hyderabad.

Plus as its a 2005 model and approaching a 50k service point. What are the major things to look out from the service perspective.

Is there any way of certifying or a company that checks a used pre owned car sold at one of the umpteen used car dealers in mumbai or in pune?

If there is, could somebody pm me with details or post it here if possible?

Am looking at couple of niche cars and most of them are in mumbai at used car dealers all over the city. I am from pune and would rather have somebody check the car/s over for me before wasting my time running all over mumbai seeing these cars.

All help and info would be appreciated and welcome.

Hi.
Not sure about certification, but I once enquired at a maruti service centre & they do check other used cars for all the damage & additional repair costs. they will give that in writing about their evaluation with 500rs as fee. Not sure if this can be called certification. But then again you or your friend in Mumbai will have to take the car to assesment.

Also you must be aware about some showrooms like Maruti True Value & Mahindra First Choice selling certified used cars with limited warranty.. do check some relevent threads about these.

I need to sell my Honda City ZX Vtec (2007 - 43K kms) model before I can put the money on a new car but the rates I got from Skoda and VW were 3 lakhs only :Shockked:

I am expecting something in the range of 4-4.5 Lakhs, is this a realistic figure?

My car is well maintained but are with a few dents. Got my Brake pads changed recently.

Any reputed place I can go to sell the car? Any help in this regard would be well appreciated.

You'd get a higher price if you made a p2p sale, rather than dealer.
more headaches, plus sale period may be so long as to warrant depreciation, but the price would be higher than what a dealer would offer at that point.

what would be a good price to pay for 2010 Oct Safari GX. 2nd owner but not transferred ownership in RC book. 28K KM done. fairly maintained. dent/ broken plastic on the rear right side door. Reverse sensors not working. When driven on bad roads, front right suspension made rattling noise.

What is a "buyable" price for a Skoda Laura L&K 1.9TDI Manual Transmission which has done ~100,000 kms, has a complete service record (up to date) with all mandatory items checked and changed, Black Color, No visible scratches or dents (non-accidental), insurance valid till 2012 September, Delhi number, new battery (3days old) and runs like a dream. I've put the car up on the classifieds and have not got any query or inquiry on it yet. So I was wondering if i've priced it too high. Hello friends,
I am planning to sell my Honda City ZX - GXI (Dec2008-Pune (PCMC) Regn with 39000kmm). It a well maintained car with complete history available.
Any pointers on what I should expect for the car? (I expect 5 to 5.5Lacs. Is this a fair expectation?)
