Thanks. |
It should be 6 lakhs. If you know the seller and condition is very very good, you can pay 6.25 max.
Sold my 2009 August Chevrolet Spark LT variant 1.04 lakh km on odo for 1.1 lakh Rupees. Buyer offered me 1.2 lakh and I gave 10k discount voluntarily because driver side power window was not working. Insurance also due for renewal in August.
In addition to standard top variant equipment it has 5 alloy wheels, comparatively new tyres (XM2), leather+art leather interior, leather hand stitched steering wheel cover, good music system, front dashboard mods, Philips light upgrade with relay, and new front discs and rear brakes. 1 lakh km service is already done. Other than few scratches on the exterior it was well maintained inside out.
I gave 3M wash and wax products, Meguiars quick detailer, Jopasu duster, and Bergmann smart phone holder also with the car.
After almost 10 years of ownership and more than 1 lakh km on the ODO, this how it looked after a quick wash and wax session.
Thanks to hserus, shijanto4, and ajay99 for answering my few last minute queries related to the sale.

You mean 2009 August. Right?
This is an exceptionally well maintained car, does not look like more than 2-3 years old.
All I can say is buyer got lucky to get such a nice car with so many add-ons at throw away price even if it is Chevrolet.

My friend is selling his Mumbai registered Honda Civic V MT. The car is 2011 registered but is in wonderfully pristine condition with new tyres and another year of Honda AMC. Has done close to 60 k km. It is a shame that he has to sell because he has moved to another country.
What would be a good price for the car ? He has sought my help in selling it. I would have bought it gladly but for the fact that my existing car and bike are already under utilised. |
Hey, is this car sold?
I am looking for a Civic in Mumbai. I dont mind buying one in Bangalore and driving down to Mumbai :)

What's your budget mate? We have a White 2009 S-MT, MH-06 Registered, about 43-44k kms on the clock, Tyres about 1.5yrs old - Yokohama Earth1 (if my memory is right). If you're interested, we can talk. It's in Mumbai with my parents (who own it) while I'm away.
I am getting a March 2015 XUV500 W6 model with 70,000kms on the ODO. Car is well maintained and Uttarakhand registered. Price quoted is 8 lakhs and needs new tyres in next 5000 kms. Need opinions on the deal as I am seriously considering it....

8 lacs seems to be a fair price. If you can bargain a bit more 7.75-7.85 Lacs would be a steal.

70K in 4 years seems to be a good running - not bad but higher than average. So check the service history thoroughly and be ready for some parts replacements in near future. You should not be paying more than 50% of the on-road price back then. So check the on-road price and be close to 50% of it.
Planning to sell my old workhorse as the new one started doing the duties and it's taking rest most of the time. Though I wanted to keep it as it's in good condition but finding it difficult to maintain 2 cars. It's a Swift VDi 2007 Jun model with Odo nearing 2,40,000, single owner. What can I expect in Bangalore?

I have the same year Altis petrol. Based on its condition, anything in the range 2.35 to 2.50 should be good. |
Thanks for the info! We're currently looking for a sedan between 2 to 2.5L and are thinking about a Corolla Altis or Honda City of similar vintage.

The Corolla Altis, except for its short gearing, would prove to be the better of the two. Try finding a 2011-2014 example. The short gearing problem is solved over there.

2011 - 2014 models are very difficult to find within a 2.5 range (for a good car).
The going price for these cars is in the range of 3.5 to 4.0
