SHOCKING!! NHC crashes during routine service.

Had been to the Honda service camp held at a local garage today. While i was waiting for my turn, i heard this grating sound followed by a "Thud".

I jumped out of the car, ran in the direction from where the sound had come and i saw this............

The NHC which had been taken for service was being rasied up when suddenly the right arm of the lift collapsed. The sheer weight of the car made the arm fall all the way to the floor.

I couldn't believe my luck coz just a min ago i was insisting that the guy take my car for service but then, let the NHC go first as it had a minor oil chance job.

Had i not let go, i'd have pretty much ended up taking snaps of my car lying half dead on that machine.

For all those who say "never give up" think again. Giving up, saved my Vtec from this horrible disaster.

If it was a bigger car, it would have been a headache getting it down.

I hope they don't "fix" up the car and sell it to some unsuspecting innocent buyer! And like vandan, even I am wondering, why does the underbody look so dirty and rusty?

Shan, I know you mentioned local garage but is this a Honda service station? If so then how come they've two Marutis there...unless they belong to service team??

You were lucky Shantanu. Was it in B'lore ?

And if its a brand new car, then why could be an oil change necessary ? The bottom of the car gives a suspicion that it has run for a while.

Ouch... thts horrible and scary tooo... bwhat if there were folks underneath...

And yeah surely its your lucky day. btw, do you carry ur cam with u or are these cam-phone pics?

Hmm if this is really a rusty ( or is it the underbody-coating? ) car thats being given off to an unsuspecting customer, thts pretty sad.
