It rained yesterday midnight, making the car much more dirtier. Not so lucky to get inside, but here are some daylight shots.
Tyre size n this model is 185/60 r 15.

The Elan may cost about INR 35000 more than the outgoing Aura Plus.

Looks really nice to me. They should have modified the rear little bit. Thats the only part which i dont like about this car. Else all other things are great about this car.

Anyways, not a bad improvement i must say. Fog lamps with chrome looks cool. Dual tone interiors are also looking smart. Alloys should have been better. It looks like after market. They should have taken similar to the Swift, which looks proper company fitted alloys.

I second that. Tata does need to do something about the headlights. One look at the front and you know it's a dealbreaker. No matter what's under the hood, the looks have to work first for any car.

The driver side door has light now, was this available in out going MANZA ?

Improvement is always good. Great to know that Vista & Manza didn't require a V2 for any major problem.

Does Elan comes with All wheel disk brakes? the side profile shows the rear wheel with disk break.

Thats not a light, but reflection of another light plus flash. Brakes are disc and drum combo.

Looks like Tatas picking up design cues from Fiat. All the chrome does add some appeal to the car.

Oooh, it looks like the exterior wine colour and the Burgundy/ beige interiors are going to be one hot combination. On the teaser site www.discoverme.in, the date is mentioned as Feb 7th; is that a launch date? Also, any news on the pricing front?
It also seems like a pre emptive action against the diesel SX4 (if launched this Feb)

Somehow i feel the alloys are a bit of a let down. The black portions are just not going. A nice silver multi-spoke alloy would have looked way better.

IMHO, they could have used this opportunity to upgrade the door handles. It wouldnt have cost a lot, but changed a lot in terms of feel. Is it possible to get these changed in the after market?
