Shit thats bad news RG . I wonder when they came up with these issues. Maybe I guess after Timmy Shah lost his life after he fell from his Busa. But they had mentioned before that anyone with a car and a license to drive could participate.. Wierd things there..... But I hope you will join us to watch the drag and bring ur baby along...

Cheers

That's real sad dude, but anyway....there's always next time. With close to 500 bhp, you could have really taken the others, hands down.

Hey Rish,
That bit of news stinks.
I was looking forward to watching your baby at full throttle. Anyway, as Shantanu said, there's always a next time. Who knows, you might have an even more powerful exotic then. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Hey RG,

Try calling Autocar. They are really co-operative toward getting more participants. The insurances should take 24 hours...MAX. Licence, well...Autocarindia will be the best source of info.

Why dont you ask another insurance company for just temporary insurance...ONLY to cover the two days. That way you can get a more competitive rate for those two days, while keeping your current cover for the rest of the year.

2% of your car's value? At 1.47 , 2% comes to Rs. 2,94,000. Not worth it.
This is really stupid man, you can't spend that much for a few 400m runs.

Don't do it unless you get everything settled.

Yea I know. GTO I cannot take a Temp Insurace I need that to have the SPECIAL RACE Insurance. My Mechanic spoke to 3 Companies and told him that a Surveyor will come to survey the car and then he will decide what the Premium will be. But he said the Minimum is arnd 2 %.

Ouch, this 2% thing really hurts.

I wonder how all the other fast cars go about their insurance.

Well Dippy told me this has just been Enforced this year. It wasnt there last year. Also when my Mechanic spoke to the Insurance Agents they said recently they had got a lot of Enquiries for the Speed Run. BUT all of them backed out. Now I want to see who is going to take part in the Run after all this Insurance and Race License thing. The Insurance Company told me that they will have to take a survey of the CAR and then they will tell the Premium. Also they were asking me what speed will I touch and how much total are u going to run it
