hmm... what's going on here? v1p3r, if you help Harrie with the fair, is he gonna let you take the Mivec to the track.. is that the deal? in that case, what can I do for you Harrie

Sounds fair enough, considering it is for the whole day and it is a per-car rule. Surely much better than paying 500 bucks for a shorter go-cart track for 10mins?

That said, I hope we get more participants. The more the merrier.

I just had a look at some used tires for track. If anyone is interested, please pm me.

185,65,14 hankook optima or something 75%tread,RS750 each.

185/65,14 Apollo accelere. 75%tread,Rs 1500 for 2.

185/60,13 Goodyear eagle ventura.2 tires have 75% tread, the other two have uneven wear~80% on one side,20% on the other.Rs2k for 4 tires.

Bridgestone potenza re88 tube tires 195/60,14. 60% tread life.Rs 700 per tire.

These tires are ok to run on zens, esteems, balenos, fiestas, ikons, vtecs maybe.Basically all cars which come with 14/13" wheels as stock.
These are pretty lower profile compared to correct size for your car.But on track,it would handle oh so much better!

vip3r, let me know if you need help with tyres in Coimbatore. It may be slightly costlier than B'Lore but atleast you guys don't have to carry it along. Plus, I can also check if the tyre shop guy can bring it to the track. If we have decent numbers, I can persuade him to send someone with the necessary equipment to the track.

Any further confirmations?

Could you elaborate on the usual routines followed? I'm a n00b joining in the first time. Which CCD is this?

Sorry guys, extensive work on the car means an elaborate running in for 2,000 kms. Car will be delivered to me only on Thursday and it will be impossible for me to make it.

Nitrous, the rate I was quoted was for the "ordinary person" who wants to hire a track for cars without ROLL CAGES. I am not a well known or renowned rally driver with contacts to get you lot of discounts. I am told that the rates Akshay quoted might be for the rally boys (assuming they have cars with roll cages). So Akshay, kindly check once again and make sure you have the roll cage thingy sorted out. Also Nitrous, kindly help people organize things here or come out and participate, and not merely posting for the heck of saying "I can get it for cheaper" OR "Why is it so expensive" on every thread. You ought to realize the amount of hard work I had to put in to make the track available to the genereal public for cars without roll cages.

Best of luck to all you guys who are going ahead with the track day. Akshay, please make sure you land up a little early and setup a chicane on the main straight. Don't even think of heading on track without it. Its my sincere advice.
