When MAI regulations were out early this year, RSC was given a choice to choose between KONI or J Anand suspension. People in RSC who were fast but without J Anand were at a severe disadvantage in K1000.

Cars with J Anand were so much more stable on bumpy stages than KONIs and it was visible both on RSC and 1400.

i was too on J Anand car num 31.... but the very first stage the dampers got jammed and was as though i was running on steel rods instead of dampers.... car handeling was very bad as they were dead stiff and on second stage crashed into a tree as the car would'nt tuck inside the corner and had to turn the steering in full and pulled the hand brake lately.

later had a puncture and above all dropped out cos the gear box broke....

after rebuilding the J Anand i had taken part in just one auto cross where in the suspension was neat and the car handeling was excellent (came 1st) and thought rebuilding was not required. as the autocross was just around 10km in total including practice etc ..... cos each time to rebuild it costs around 5k

Hi Vishal remember revvedup. I had met you in the parking near the Parc Ferme' . In fact had it not been your car, I would have never recognized that you were a member @ Team-BHP .

Oh and thanks for offering me help for transportation till Sidhalghatta however, luckily another team helped me out .

That must have been bad, that's why I didn't see your car much.

Is it 5K for each damper or four ?

I had an opportunity to talk to many drivers about this KONI v/s J ANAND debate. What I was told was that although J ANAND's dampers are a little more expensive than KONI's they are much more customizable.

Rally India - Welcome to the Forum of Indian Rallying • View topic - 23rd POPULAR RALLY Of KERALA - 2008

You could follow this link , probably the best place to know about the rallies. But i guess still some clarity is not there about the event.
