All porsches look the same to me (apart from the older ones and the Carrera GT) Porsche has been doing such a fantastic job in the engine department, i think its time to make some changes in the design department too.
Still though, gotta love the new one.

I'd still prefer the RWD version to the AWD. Who can resist a rear engined rear wheel drive 997 Turbo with 480 HP. No one.
Btw, car and driver was one of the 1st ones to review it couple of months back.

After Porsche completes the design of a new chassis, they test its performance, design and engineering extensively and then rate it on a scale of 1 to 10. The score then becomes the name.

That is a chassis designation and similar to what Mercedes uses (W126 S-Class, W140 SClass, W220 SClass). Similarly, the current 911 is known as the Porsche "997 chassis" 911, while the previous gen was the "996 chassis" 911.

This road scorcher from Stuttgart is a better everyday power car than a SLR Mc Laren or Lamborghini LP640. Sure, the Mc laren is a head turner but its also priced 4 times more than the 997.

I would go for the 997 anyday, given I had the cash, over a Mc Laren.
