This season is a blockbuster compared to S1 but I wish they had incorporated some standard road cars as a segment; for example, something like what they did with the Skoda Yeti in the Top Gear days.

They heard my thought I guess – at least got the Macan, Stelvio and the Velar :)

I don't know why Hammond is trying so hard to be funny though. He tries desperately to butt in a cheeky sarcastic line every now and then, and it just doesn't seem funny.

Yes, almost like I am going to tell a joke kind of expression. And they are overdoing his crash history bit.

Well, she did pretty well in the Jaguar. And some interesting references on a few rich kid machines (including a totaled Rolls Royce golf buggy!) :)

The Grand Tour: Season 2, Episode 11 - Mozambique Special

Hard day in the office for Hammond I guess :Dhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1xnnpVhT3NYSource - YouTube

Old fashioned top gear quality episode it is.
**SPOILER ALERT**

Boy that TVS survived.
Was this the last episode of the season?

**SPOILER ALERT**

I watched the Mozambique episode, which is the last episode of Season 2, and must admit that the ending wasn't perfect. There were no contemplations on each of their vehicles, no looking back on their arduous journey and felt that it was too short for a "special". It should've been a 2 part series.

Anyways, the TVS held up remarkably well to the constant abuse and boy did Hammond take a beating in this episode.

For me the standout moment this season was the Lancia film from Episode 7.

Come on guys, give a spoiler alert before giving out so many details, for the benefit of folks who have not yet watched this episode. :)

Alas it has to end. The final episode was good but the best has to be Audi vs Lancia. Total respect for Lancia on what they achieved.

**Spoiler alert**
Hammond did crash so much in the final episode, i hope he didnt break any bones. I think they let the viewers try to figure which was the best in the lot. The TVS definitely needed more better wheels, the merc was too old and not suited for the job. The pickup though did it effortlessly with the weight in the back.

No wonder Pickups sell so much in the continent.

TVS you had free marketing done for you.

Maddy

Guys a request, Please stop posting Spoilers

Atleast wait for a few days before posting details.

I was not aware of "The Grand tour" TV series but knew Jeremy Clarkson, James May & Richard Hammond because of Top Gear. I stopped following Top gear long back.

Technocrat had added spoiler alert later to my post, it was an oversight from my side. Thanks to him for that.

Though as such it is a great show, Grand Tour I felt fails to match the standard set by Top Gear. Especially camera / cinematography was a class apart in Top Gear I had felt.

However comparison apart, it is an interesting show to watch. Hope you like it.

The quality of episodes on Grand Tour has increased leaps and bounds compared to first season.
The lancia vs Audi Quattro WRC episode was simply awesome.
Also the banter between the trio has been interesting.
God knows why they invited Paris Hilton to show.

Apart from that I still wonder how they allowed Hammond to drive that tank like vehicle in the mall in S02!

I am sad that the series is over as the last few episodes were amazing.

Didn't like the special as much, it was good but not comparable to their other specials. Hammond's repeated falls looked orchestrated and they could have done better editing. Overall looked rushed. Having said that it did have its funny moments and is worth watching.

That is because they themselves calls this as a "Mini Special" to be precise.
There was a tweet TGT official handle on Feb 14 for a similar questions form "Tweeple"

Cheers!

I think they probably realized how it turned out post production and added that mini to prevent some backlash ;)

There is still some good news. We will get another proper "special" in mid-2018. This will be the Colombia special, akin to the Bolivia episode, which was supposed to be part of Season 2 but got delayed due to Clarkson's health issues.
