The Rimac thread led me to look up the Hammand-Rimac crash and this showed up:

Quote:

when the pair were discussing specifically how the accident happened. Hammond seemed to suggest the car should’ve made the turn, or at the very least, not kicked out into oversteer.

“The only thing I would say is the previous day … I could not for the life of me provoke oversteer,” he said. “It would only understeer. I mean I damn near understeered over a cameraman. Why did it suddenly do it?”

Rimac’s response was that Hammond was simply going too fast, and the supercar’s trick torque-vectoring system tried to change direction appropriately.

“When you went into that left hand corner you were way too fast,” said Rimac. “And you turned the wheel more than the car can take; more than physics can take with the tires and the weight. So what the system did actually was to yaw the car around where you wanted to have it. It rotated too fast, but this just meant that you went off sideways. If it didn’t do that you would have gone straight.”

Fairly old article; not sure if it has been shared already.

The Grand Tour To Be Dropped By Amazon After Season 3

Quote:

Amazon has no plans to extend The Grand Tour’s to a fourth season, according to a report by the The Daily Mail.

When Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May signed with Amazon in 2015, their contract was for three seasons and 36 episodes. Two successful seasons have aired so far, but it doesn’t appear like Amazon will renew their contract.

The British tabloid reports that Clarkson has already lined up a new job as the presenter of a revamped ‘Who Wants To Be A Millionaire’ when The Grand Tour’s run comes to an end . Hammond, May, and the rest of The Grand Tour crew, though, may have to look elsewhere for employment.

“There is nothing to suggest they are going to do another one. No one has signed anything and employees are wondering where everyone will go once filming wraps,” a source familiar with the issue claims.

Clarkson declined to comment on the reports, while The Grand Tour producer Andy Wilman simply said the crew “is focusing on series three at the moment.”

News articles online say Clarkson has gone on Twitter to tell people not to believe rumors. But rumors generally tend to be true so we'll have to wait some more to find out what eventually happens.

I hope there's more of The Grand Tour but get it that after some point, there stops being enough material to keep going, especially considering the tremendous expectations that viewers have.

Well, thanks to this spoiler alert and screenshots attached to it. I started watching "The Grand tour" series right away.

Just finished binge watching "The Grand Tour". I used to be a big fan of Top Gear and the trio of Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May. I stopped watching/following Top gear when Friends fame Matt LeBlanc joined it. I enjoyed watching both the season of the Grand tour. However, I skipped(fast forwarded) Celebrity face-of part of series 2, It was boring. James May's innocent question after every celebrity's accident (season 1) and Hammond's witty answer was fun. I missed it in season 2. Eagerly waiting for Season 3.

Maybe it's just me, but The Grand Tour has changed dramatically from Season 1 to Season 2. Personally I wasn't a fan of Season 2 so much. I still believed them being on Top Gear was so much better than this concept. Still, chances are, if these three are doing a project together, I will still watch it.

I just realized good old Top Gear too is also listed among documentaries in Amazon Prime! However, not all seasons are available at the moment!

Some updates on Season 3. Waiting for the season to start.

Tent recordings are currently on, so Nov/Dec is what's expected.

Season 3 to come out in Jan? Says Andy Wilman.

Was really expecting it to be sometime in Dec :Frustrati.

Christmas special - 21st Dec
1st episode - 18th Jan

There will be 13 episodes including the special. Looks like this will be the confirmed date as listed on IMDB since it's owned by Amazon.
