Ford EcoSport 2017 seen in Brazil, keeps the spare wheel on tail gate.

As indicates the level of camouflage, the main Visual changes will be at the forefront. Grille, headlights and bumper will follow the new Ford design philosophy inspired by the luxurious Edge, lending to Echo a more refined style. At the rear, the taillights will keep the current format, but with new internal arrangement of lights. And the spare, unfortunately, is still on the outside

The Ford EcoSport 2017 to market with important changes in visual exterior, which should be inspired by the new Edge. A test specimen was spotted in China with changes in the front, where you can see two horizontal bars on the grid.

Headlights and bumper will be upgraded and gain new daytime LEDs. At the rear, the taillights also suffer changes as well as the protector.

Inside, the Ford EcoSport 2017 presents a major change in the Panel. The unit tested was a set of instruments, now on a surface open and wide. The vehicle must be a cheaper version, because the cluster features room for a multifunction TFT screen. A handle was added on the passenger side.

Good to see the archaic cellphone themed dash go away and the MID is looking really nice too! The exterior might be pretty much the same I guess with a touch of the recent themes of their UVs.

An AWD addition would be welcome (on the AT version especially) and given the current competitive pricing, would be priced beautifully for those thirsting for it.
I'm sure this would again make the Ecosport a formidable player in the CSUV market in India.

Good to see premium looking interiors on the EcoSport. Not that the current one was bad, but was a bit too funky. And the competition couldn't match its current interiors anyway !
Also, I am guessing, this should be the Trend, and the Titanium would have a large display with touch screen, which shows navigation and doubles up as the rear view camera too. Isn't that the trend these days?

The new front end reminds me of the face-lifted XUV 5OO though. Is that just me?

That's too small a horn pad for a steering of this size. Pretty useless in India as mostly you won't have the luxury to lift your palm off the steering wheel and place it on the horn pad to use it.

But in all likeliness, it may not come onto the Indian spec car.

EcoSport face lift - Brazil,

On the outside, the EcoSport 2017 will adopt the new visual identity of the brand, with frontal design similar to Edge, bringing new headlights, grille, bumper and fog lights. At the rear the spare will be kept attached to the lid of the trunk, having as novelty only the lanterns with another arrangement of lights. The premiere is expected to happen in the second half, a little before the São Paulo Hall, scheduled for November.

150ps EcoBoost engine combined with an AT will make this the perfect urban use SUV as the overall quality & safety is top notch. Adding HHC and AWD to the above for this sized vehicle will make it a dream vehicle for hilly regions like Himachal Pradesh catering to narrow roads with minimal effort - however, cost/ price maybe an issue for such a wholesome package in my view.

The 2017 Ford Ecosport sheds more camouflage and partially reveals its fascia. As expected, the gaping grille is being ditched for a conventional and smart-looking Escape-like trapezoidal unit. While the rest of the exteriors stay unchanged at first glance, what caught my eyes are the interiors. The cabin, especially the center console, appears to have gone through a major revamp!

Its good to see Ford is lining up Ecosport with a common design language to align it with rest of Crossovers and SUVs from the Ford stable. For me this looks more of a younger sibling of 2017 Ford Kuga.

I particularly liked the new front facia with dual pot headlamp with projectors, certainly it looks more aggressive than before. Coming to the interiors of the car, Ford finally ditched its Nokia look alike infotainment buttons and the new dashboard design certainly looks top notch and looks to be user friendly.

So glad Ford has ditched that Nokia cell-phone like dashboard, and decided to simplify the interior design. It was the one thing that totally turned me off Fords of that generation - EcoSport and Fiesta in India. Had a long term rental Focus - very similar dashboard & interior design - in the USA. Even after 10 weeks of driving it 9000 miles, I still could not come to terms with the interiors.

That display is looking a bit weird sticking out so much from the dash. Maybe its just a test car thingy.



And it looks like the spare is there to stay on the tailgate.
