New video posted a few hours ago, starting to look pretty good. Just hope it doesn't look too much like the 5.

I have mixed feelings about this, what do you guys think ?

The leaked renders show a design language that somehow feels more Merc like than BMW. Its got a lot more curves (like a merc) than the bold straight lines we expect from BMW

It's got some interesting design cues and touches, that's for sure! Looks sharp!

Not a huge fan of the conjoined-twins kidney grilles though. Wish it had more deapth and dimension, like the F30 3 Series' grille.

This should bring BMW back in the game, but the C is such a class act (excuse the pun) that even the current generation C can give the new 3 a run for its money, even though it's half way through its life cycle!

More images of the car from the internet. I have decided only to post those which are not already posted here. If you like to see more, please follow the below two links.

Personally it looks more 'coupe-ish' than the current BMW 3 series, however I am glad its not just a mere baby 5 series. I still haven't warmed myself up to the exterior look of new gen 5 series. Interiors are definitely an upgrade and I guess the a/c vents looks very similar to the ones you see in an Audi. BMW also have decided to keep the 'Front Engine Rear Wheel Drive' format and not succumb to the call of accountants to copy the low cost 'Front engine front wheel drive' format.

Looks great in M sport trim. Long swooping bonnet, pushed back cabin and squat rear end, unmistakably a 3 Series. Love that side profile! I give it a thumbs up :thumbs up.

Just like the G30 5 Series, the M sport version looks great, while the regular version looks odd. I hate the way the non M sport 5'er looks.

New interior theme for all BMWs I guess. Looks minmallistic (boring?).The C class has it beat for sure, atleast as far as interiors are concerned.

Was about to post the same here..
The car looks really good from the back and a bit weird with the front bumper design.

Wow that looks great! Definitely the better of the 3 main sedans they offer, that front end is really aggressive! Love the tinted taillights - even if they do look quite Lexus like. I like that it's a more radical evolution unlike the 5 and 7 series which went with a slightly more conventional design language.

I liked it; good evolution from the current generation, looks quite sleek.

Agree! I am not a fan of what they are doing with the grille. I hope finally it doesn't end up looking like a KIA.

Overall, I think BMW have done a great job in moving the goalpost. I do however, think that the rear is too Japanese...very similar to the new Lexus design. It's not a bad thing. It's just that it says "comfort" more than "sport".

Having said that, the M340i is going to be high on my shopping list in a few years.

I doubt if full blown models (M340i / X-Drive) will ever see Indian roads. :Frustrati

I think, we will have only 20d and 30i models initially, M-Sport may be little later. Also, IMO this 20d engine has lost its earlier charm, in the name of refinement.

Cheers,
Sail

Personally I quite like the looks, and unlike the F30 which I didn't like in the beginning (it grew on me later), this one looks good to me from now. The design isn't simple and classy like the G30 5. This carries a lot of design elements, curves, and funky stuff. The M340d is sure going to be something.

This is it, here are the 1st official pics of the all new g20 3 series;
