Tesla seems to have come to a final decision about their Tesla stores. The company just posted an update to their blog stating that they will seek a much less disruptive version of their change in strategy, instead closing about 10-30% of locations.
Quote:
As a result, the price drops associated with these store closures will be partially reversed. Vehicle prices across the line will increase by a few percent, except for the newly-released $35,000 Model 3, which will remain at that same price. These price increases will happen on March 18th, so current prices are valid for anyone who orders in the next week

Re: The Tesla Model 3, a $35,000 sedan. EDIT: Specs revealed & deliveries begin

My airport drop cab in Copenhagen happened to be a Model 3. I was quite skeptical about the large tablet in the center and the lack of hard Keys/Buttons around. the minimalism actually looked. I especially loved the clean largely grey Navigation as well as the animation of other cars around the blindspots and in proximity. Autopilot is still not allowed in Denmark and I couldn't have the driver show it to me.
The range of 350kms @80% remaining charge was quite impressive too.
all-in-all, I quite like it.

However, my needs of space can't be met in the model 3 and will push me to the Model X which is unobtanium. My Daily Driver is a KIA Sorento.

Sounds like they are still trying to hit that promised $35,000 price point -- perhaps within 6 months, though who knows what other issues will pop up.

The new FSD hardware with all the data collected in shadow mode is showing promise for fully autonomous city driving.

German Car Rental Firm Nextmove Cancels Tesla Order Over Quality Issues.

Offering faulty vehicles to rental customers would compromise Nextmove’s reputation for quality says the rental firm

Quote:
Nextmove said its Model 3 vehicles had paint defects, faulty wiring, scratches on the dashboard, faulty wheels and condensation in the headlights
Quote:
Car rental company Nextmove has walked away from a 5 million euros ($5.55 million) order for 85 Tesla (TSLA.O) Model 3 electric vehicles following a dispute over how to fix quality issues
Quote:
Nextmove said it had ordered 100 electric vehicles in 2018 but raised objections over quality and finish after taking delivery of the first 15 Model 3 cars earlier this year.

The rental company said following a dispute over how to resolve the quality shortcomings, Tesla triggered a refund clause but Tesla disputes that it canceled the order.

I don't think so. They sold a 35K model for a while, found that unsustainable and dropped it. Now the base model is 38k.

This was a staged drama. The cop in question finally had to come forward and confirm it was staged since the video uploaders forgot to blur his face/identity.
And, on the question of who gets the ticket, this is what the cop had to say.

Florida law states that the person “controlling/operating” the autonomous car would be responsible. Holding down the “summon” button in the app technically puts you in “control” of the vehicle making you the sole operator of said vehicle (making you responsible for any mistakes the car may make: I.E. running a stop sign, etc.)

Re: The Tesla Model 3, a $35,000 sedan. EDIT: Specs revealed & deliveries begin

A Germany Man accidentally buys 28 Tesla Model 3 cars for 1.4 million Euros, this happened after a glitch on the company's website.

The Tesla Model 3, a ,000 sedan. EDIT: Specs revealed & deliveries begin-smartselect_20200701102251_chrome.jpg

The problem may have occurred on Tesla's website. After clicking 'submit,' the website responded the order could not be placed because of a payment issue even though they filled in payment details correctly. The user kept on clicking on the confirm button but the same error kept popping up for another two hours.By the end of it, the website responded and confirmed 28 of the Tesla 3 units.

Each order had a minimum no-refund fee of 100 Euros amounting to 2,800 Euros for all the orders. However, Tesla acknowledged the issue and and cancelled the entire order without any charge. The family was asked to place a new order.

Tesla CEO, Elon Musk hinted that the Model 3 is likely to arrive in India soon. However, there's still no specific timeline mentioned.
