Almost undisguised, the 1000HP Mercedes-AMG One Hypercar spotted testing at Nürburgring. It sounds as good as it looks. Perhaps the first time the road car with an engine as identical as in the F1 car. Even the exhaust layout looks very similar to F1 car.

The Ferrari F50 used an engine that was a modified version of the one used in an F1 car.

Just seen on a DriveTribe facebook post that the AMG Project One has been delayed yet again, this time to Q1 2022. Honestly, are any of the customers still going to be sticking it out? The clientele don't strike me as the kind to be this patient about something missing so many deadlines. SSO might have more insight on this perhaps.

NEWS: Mercedes Project ONE experiences further delays 😓
The highly-anticipated Project ONE has been delayed again after Mercedes hit further issues.
A recent announcement had slated Autumn 2021 as the final release date for the German marque’s hypercar, but it has emerged this will be pushed back to the first quarter of next year.
Reports suggest that there is ongoing “calibration issues” as engineers attempt to make the 1,200hp Formula One-derived 1.6-litre turbocharged-V6 hybrid engine suitable for a road-going vehicle.
Other changes that are expected to be made during this latest delay include the addition of a T-Wing (seen on 2017 F1 cars) and a redesigned exhaust setup.
So for those of you expecting deliveries… sorry to be the bearer of bad news 🤷*♂️

Im not surprised. Multimatic, which is building both the Project One & Valkyrie, is having lots of issues getting both cars to actually work. Recently everything has gone very quiet on both projects which is normally not a good sign.

Mercedes-AMG One hypercar production to begin in 2022.

The original Project One concept was first revealed four years ago, but the development was said to have been beset by delays due to the complexities of adapting the F1-derived hybrid powertrain for the street.

Just 275 examples will be produced, and all have now been sold for a price of €2.27 million (£2.06m).

Stumbled across this on youtube. Definitely looks fleshed out enough to be on the roads compared to any of the previous versions we've seen. Still, not sure if I'm reaching here, but can't escape the notion that the body language of the AMG gent ties in with what we've heard from SSO and others about this being a bit of a nightmare project for the company. I don't suppose you've heard any rumours of customers actually getting firm delivery dates have you SSO?

Last I heard deliveries are supposed to start "late" this year. Multimatic, which is also doing a lot of the work on the Valkyrie, is also doing a lot of the production for the AMG One.

And for Mercedes/AMG, projects been a complete nightmare and money pit. Car is way over weight and the performance stats are average at best for its class.

That all fits. In the video both the presenter and the company man can't help but let slip that the raw numbers aren't the pinnacle in many categories. Oh well, Ola Kallenius at least doesn't strike me as anything but a cold hard numbers man so this is probably the last we see of a fanciful vanity project form Mercedes for a while. Thanks though
