Pininfarina is Tech Mahindra owned. It has a huge industrial designing/IoT/AI arm which dominates its automotive design arm. Nowadays, it is especially known for designing retail automated machines amongst others and works with major consumer product companies.

Also, Mahindra lately has been increasingly turning to its North American technical design center for its auto designs, example- Marazzo.

While the design does look weird, I still feel it is a conscious design decision from Mahindra; their Plan-B! For the purpose of being just a recreational vehicle which is not road legal, I don't think the design is much of an issue as long as it functions as advertised.

Probably designed by Mahindra's legal team. Such a cringe worthy design. I mean, come on. If they can deliver it on the Thar, why can't a Roxor. This will definitely scare people and the best scarecrow jeep one can own and drive.

Still there's a ray of hope for CJ5 cravers:

The Body untill where the front fenders start is the same old on which the first generation fenders can be bolted on.
The same old fenders, bonnet and grille from spare part shop is all you need and the registering won't pose a problem either, this being not road legal.

I idea here is to make changes to design without changing BOM too much.
I see that there is no need for changing fender and hood tooling to implement this design, only front panel and bumper has been changed. Achieved radically different looking vehicle at minimum cost.

Please don't blame Mahindra, they just literally followed the court orders, they just removed the JEEP grill and launched

After losing the battle, looks like Mahindra didn't want to spend any more efforts and money on Roxor, they seem to have given up.

Extremely negative comments for a design which is not bad at all for a side by side.
I see no reason why people who work in farms won't buy it anymore. In fact it's got a different element now which should appeal to more people.
We have to be critical but overly critical of desi brands which is what I see here.
Kudos to Mahindra trying to set foot in a market from where even Suzuki pulled out.
And yes this roxor will sell is equally good numbers as it used to before.

Anand Mahindra needs to stop mucking about on Twitter and take stock of his holdings, because right now they're just the laughing stock of the industry. Poor Pawan Goenka, he's a good guy who doesn't deserve this.

I'm sorry but I don't really see what 'designing' Mahindra have done here. My 4 year old son could have done this for them in 2 mins! Appalled to see an established Indian company going to the world with something as hideous as this.
