The BMW 5 Series facelift was revealed last month. Now, the carmaker has unveiled the refreshed M5, which receives similar cosmetic updates.



The updated BMW M5 comes with redesigned LED headlights with twin L-shaped LED daytime running lights and new LED tail lights that have a smoked effect. The car comes with a bodykit featuring a gloss black grille, different bumpers, boot spoiler and diffuser. It also has a carbon fibre roof and redesigned 20-inch alloy wheels.



On the inside, the M5 comes with the latest version of the iDrive 7 infotainment system featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It has a 3-spoke steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.



The M5 retains its 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 592 BHP and 750 Nm. The engine in the M5 Competition produces 609 BHP and 750 Nm. Both variants get all-wheel drive as standard with multiple drive modes including Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and a new Track mode.

That stance and the shade of Red are totally wicked!! The M5 has the dual ability to blend in the crowd yet part the seas when required. This indeed is the quintessential everyday supercar for a country like ours.

Maybe the M4 was an exercise to show how good the M5 really is - and probably the best time to get it before the grilles invade.

Smashing!! Less chrome and more black accents , there you go any car can look better. I don't know why some manufacturers these days throw in maximum amount of chromes they ever could on a car!

The red with black accents looks amazing but draws too much attention. I've black on black and it only looks good when washed. The best color I liked so far in real world is the Marina Bay Blue. Now there's M5 Base, Competition, Alpina B5, CS.

BMW India dealerships can soon take orders for the new one. Hope they introduce packs like overseas that includes a set of features. Currently, one has to pay extra for basic things like comfort access or soft-close doors on CBU models. Even one has to pay a large amount for leather.

Somewhere in past years, BMW took a cue from Porsche India but they need to change this.

Love the vents and elements on the bonnet. It should be standard on M5 probably. Otherwise it’s too similar to the regular 5. But I don’t like the chrome grill shown above. Black one that’s standard on regular M5 looks nicer.

2022 BMW M5 CS debuts, it will arrive in the U.S. later this year with a starting price of $142,995.

The M5 CS’s reworked version of the standard M5’s twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8 petrol engine produces 626bhp at 6000rpm and 553lb ft of torque between 1800rpm and 5950rpm. This is 9bhp more than and the same torque loading as that offered by the M5 Competition, allowing the headlining M5 model to manage an official 0-62mph time of 3.0sec, 0-124mph in 10.4sec and an electronically limited 189mph top speed.
