BMW M5 facelift unveiled

The BMW 5 Series facelift was revealed last month. Now, the carmaker has unveiled the refreshed M5, which receives similar cosmetic updates.

The updated BMW M5 comes with redesigned LED headlights with twin L-shaped LED daytime running lights and new LED tail lights that have a smoked effect. The car comes with a bodykit featuring a gloss black grille, different bumpers, boot spoiler and diffuser. It also has a carbon fibre roof and redesigned 20-inch alloy wheels.

On the inside, the M5 comes with the latest version of the iDrive 7 infotainment system featuring a 12.3-inch touchscreen head-unit with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. It has a 3-spoke steering wheel and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster.

The M5 retains its 4.4-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine that produces 592 BHP and 750 Nm. The engine in the M5 Competition produces 609 BHP and 750 Nm. Both variants get all-wheel drive as standard with multiple drive modes including Comfort, Sport, Sport+ and a new Track mode.
