Car looks superb and I am sure its gonna be a great SUV with the V6 diesel, too bad that we are not likely to get it here at reasonable prices (due to ford's CBU plans).
I wish ford works out some kind of solution to come back to our market.

It pains a lot to me knowing we won't be able to make it to Indian roads. Maybe via CBU with exaggerated costs.

I was going to book Endy in a fortnight when news of manufacturing shutting down came over. Though Ford is planning a venture with Tata to sell its CBU products, I am already worried about Tata after sales, they can't manage their own products, leave aside Ford's load.

Here are some pictures of the next generation Ford Everest with ARB Bull bar, Snorkel, BF Goodrich tyres and other off-road equipment being tested in Australia.

According to this link Ford has tied up with ARB for supplying the off road accessories for the Everest. This I think is a good decision as you get the expertise of ARB synchronous to the Manufacturer.

You can have these accessories fitted to your new car from the Ford Showrooms itself in Australia! What a beautiful country to buy a 4x4 !

As everyone said, it has killer looks and with a 3 lit v6 turbo diesel, becomes an irresistible package! Only fly in the ointment - seems to have way too much tech, compared to the outgoing model.

Looks so much more macho than XUV700. If Ford had not exited India and would have launched in India then I am sure it would have been a viable alternative to Fortuner and a success!

Next-Generation Ford Everest Reveal:

New Everest gets the SYNC 4 infotainment. The portrait-oriented touchscreen measures 10.1 inches on the lesser trim levels and is bumped to a 12-inch diagonal for the more expensive models. It's the same story with the digital instrument cluster, with 8- and 12.3-inch sizes depending on the version.

The engine lineup includes the usual suspects, with a turbodiesel 3.0-liter V6 positioned at the top. Depending on the market, the revamped Everest will be offered with a smaller 2.0-liter diesel equipped with one or two turbochargers. If oil-burners are not your cup of tea, the body-on-frame SUV will also be offered from 2023 with the familiar 2.3-liter EcoBoost gasoline unit. Depending on the engine, these work with either a six-speed manual or a 10-speed automatic.

Ford touts water wading capabilities up to 800 mm (2.6 feet) while the roof can hold static loads of 350 kg (772 lbs) or dynamic loads as heavy as 100 kg (220 lbs). Interestingly, the engine bay has room for a second battery to juice up various aftermarket accessories to accentuate the Everest's outdoorsy character.

From a 360-degree camera and matrix LED headlights to adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist, the 2023 Ford Everest is brimming with tech. The Blue Oval has also implemented an automatic evasive steer assist to avoid a collision in case braking alone isn't enough. If an accident does occur, post-collision braking kicks in to avoid a secondary crash.

This would have been an brilliant alternative to have in the 40-50L bracket. Ford seriously lacked the right leadership and focus for this market and ended up shutting shop. Its chief competitor, the Toyota, have similar offerings and have managed to stick around for much longer than Ford and show no sign of slowing down. Even Skoda which has a huge love/hate relationship with the customers have managed to stick around.

I hope the leadership at Ford India has been sacked because this is heartbreaking to see. They've finally added a V6 (paired with the 10R80-mouth watering combo) and 360 degree camera but we gain nothing out of this.

Brilliant job, Ford India. Just brilliant.
