There are some of tow capable trucks with manual transmissions including the Nissan Frontier, the Toyota Tacoma (the dealer is expecting a couple that i will go test drive), the Dodge Ram. The Ford F150 is available with manuals but the tow ratings are very low on those because they haven't fitted clutches that can handle heavy loads.

Manual transmission diesel trucks are all over the place (heavy duty Fords and Dodges). my problem is that I need something for towing 3500lbs, not 12,000lbs.

There are also utility vehicles like the Nissan Xterra and the FJ Cruiser that come with manuals.

Plus if I am willing to buy slightly used, I have the choice of something like a 2004 Nissan Pathfinder with manual box, or a 2001 - 2007 BMW X5 3.0i, also with a manual box

I used to tow with a manual. Burnt out the clutch within the same year.

whats with the 4x4 chitchat in this thread? Harbir you may start a thread to discuss your next purchase or the dilemna thereof. which gen v6 are you driving or have driven? as for me, having driven manual cars for well over 12 years in Delhi, i think my left foot deserves a break! thats my choice.

I know ssk's and other contraptions are available for the manual but traffic here in San Diego is quite notorious on the I-5 eway between la and san diego. believe you me, I have understood fully well what "rush-hour" literally means. as a bonus, the auto tranny can be given a real beating in clutchless manual mode and you dont even need to hold the button to shift between n-d-3-2 ratios.

the roads in eastern sd county are beautiful though with a few 6000 feet passes(if you could call them that) through mount laguna onto Anza Borrego desert state park. i really enjoy driving out there and thank myself for being able to keep both hands on the wheel at a good 60-70 mph through winding hilly roads.

Awesome ride. Have you done the Highland Valley road to Julian + Palomar mountain? Awesome roads with many tight twisties.

thanks buddy. lookup kingmotorsports dot com and email them if what you are looking for is not in stock right now. tenzo I think is a very little known brand but the quality is top notch.

Tenzo is actually Lenso.its a marketing name adopted in US.So its not that unknown a brand.and these are very good wheels.Just that they haven't got the respect that they command. These are infact on par with similar designed Enkei.

Thanks for the kingmotorsport link.

In a way true!! These are monoblock rims for 180 green ones. that is v.v. good vfm. Enkies are everywhere here. even dying 20 year old somethings (car) ride on them. Now i need to get hold of some springs as soon as they are out.

will update then.

I've driven all 4 generations V6 Accords. Mine is a 2007, the last year of the generation just before yours. I drove the '08 accord and was HUGELY HUGELY impressed by it. Its a very sweet sophisticated piece of work, and really moved the state of the art for that class forward in a big way.

But I bought a left over '07 EX-L because I cannot stomach automatics. The 2 door has a manual, but I already have two sports cars (a Lotus and an MX-5) and this car had to be a sedan. As far as I know, the Accord V6 sedan has been offered with a manual only in 2006 and 2007.

yours is an attractive car. I think the Accord coupe is staggeringly good looking.
