ID:970 is a 1962 Morris Major Elite made by BMC Australia for the Australian market. The grille looks very similar to that of the Morris Oxford Mark VI.

Guess the 4x4 field car in this garage. Year, Make, Model. Not the plastic toy mini-Jeep on the table!
Id:971 is a is a 1960 AMC M422A1 Mighty Mite with the longer wheelbase than the USMC 422. The first U.S. Jeep to be fitted with an aluminum body, its weight was close to that of a Maruti 800. Independent suspension all around and front and rear Positraction limited-slip differentials. The drum brakes were mounted on the drive shafts near the differential.
It was powered by an air-cooled 1.8 litre aluminum V4 engine
The transfer case was part of the gearbox and only engaged/disengaged the front wheel drive. So no low-ratio.
Fully synchronized, it could be shifted from 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive on the fly.
Traditionally, wheels and tires and half-shafts and drum brake assemblies or disc brake assemblies, and in the case of ancient old-fashioned trucks and jeeps the differentials and axle castings, and part of the weight of springs, shock absorbers, and suspension links, all add to the unsprung weight of the vehicle.
The heavier the unsprung weight, the more that noise, vibration and harsh shocks are transferred to the passenger cabin.
While designing a good offroader or racer, you lighten your unsprung weight, by switching to light alloy wheels, and moving the drum brake assemblies or disc brake assemblies away from the wheels. Also the differentials are bolted to the body and transmit power to light-alloy axle shafts, through constant-velocity joints.
The AMC M422-family Mighty Mite 4x4s had inboard brake assemblies at the differentials, rather than at the wheels.
This vehicle was never used it battle. It was retired before it saw any war.

Brilliant Ram sir, it is indeed the Shah of Iran with a 5 Litre V8, with a gear driven camshaft, like all good racing engines.More info can be found here .

Original type NSU Rotary wankel Engine I do remember seeing them in the 60s on UK roads,this was there top model.

No. We know all about Wankel engines. This is not an NSU Ro80 at all. Far from it!
In fact, I don't believe there was ever an NSU Ro Achtzig with four-doors.
