We compare cars to know.. which one of it.. peoplelike!!! As far as i know.. both the Land Cruiser and the Pajero go head to head...be it a Prado or a Amazon....or a Colorado.. or a 2.8 or a 3.2...or a Pinin!!!....Have mentioned earlier too... Versions don`t matter....in this thread!!

have u guys forgotten the nissan patrol? have any of you`ll ever driven a patrol? both on and off road its the best SUV in its class. It is much more stable than the LC and Pajero. It has coil springs at the back as against leaf springs in a pajero. the engine is a 6 cylinder 4200 cc both for diesel and petrol and it can cruise all day at a 140kmph. trust me i have owned and driven all three and so far its the nissan patrol that has managed to make a space in our hearts! we have 4 of them 2 diesels and 2 petrols! amazing stuff....... oh btw we have tea plantations here in bangladesh that calls for a lot of off roading, so this information is based on first hand experience and ownership.

PS i will be driving down to calcutta on the 16th in my Patrol so maybe we can meet up. i live in rawdon street at my grand parents place...no.6. u can site my great grand dads RR phantom 3 and bentley there too! i wish i could add a foto!

My choice would be the LC purely because of the optional V8, but I also like the styling of the LWB (non-Prado) LC a lot. Has the power of the 4.7 V8 has gone up to around 275 bhp in other markets too (apart from the US) ? The older (70's & 80's) LCs also had a certain amount of charm, since they were never used as pseudo luxo barges and were used for what they were designed to do...off roading!

Personally, I am not a SUV fan. But it's the Pajero for me.

LC all the way.

When the US invaded afghanistan a few years back they used the LC to win over afghan war lords. No one wanted a Pajero they all wanted the LC. It has a great reputation and is very durable.

I had the pleasure of being chauffered around Delhi for a night in a fully (I mean fully ) loaded LC. It felt so brilliant. It had a wonderfully torquey turbodiesel that would gentley but firmly push you back into the seats when the throttle was pushed (as the chauffer floored it many a time). It was an amazing experience.
So I am always going to be a little bit partial to the Landcruiser. Arabs love it too!!(and the range rover)
