A bit OT.. but the only decent SUV I've ever driven is the GMC Envoy Inline 6. It has a 291 HP 4 speed auto tranny with loads of torque. Compare that to the LC's 265 HP V8.
Regarding the Pajero and the Landcruiser, I'd get the LC any day. Awesome street presence, good looks and decent 4WD capability. Too bad it's not sold in Canada anymore.

GMC Envoy = A civilized 3-tonne truck that comes with 4X2 as standard. The inline 6 Vortec 4200 develops 275 bhp and not 291.

LC = 2.4 tonne true-blue 4x4 SUV.

If you have to compare the LC to an American SUV, the Tahoe Z71 and the GMC Yukon come close in SUV-ability to the LC. Not the Envoy/Trailblazer.

Agreed that the Tahoe and the Yukon are close in "SUV-ability" but look at their size. I mean they are huge and heavy compared to the LC. The Envoy would be the closest fit to an LC in terms of its dimensions.

Dimensions, yes. I was talking about capability. Mind you, the Tahoe and the Yukon look HUGE from the outside but they dont have that big a size advantage on the inside. Its mostly the height that gives them the oversized look.

Land Cruiser 2010 is far advanced than Pajero. Ownership pride of Pajero is far lesser than that of Land Cruiser. It is also to be noted that LC is 2.5 times costlier than Pajero (Montero in India)

Land Cruiser Rulzzz

land Cruiser all the way. The Pajero is just a Boat Anchor. With its looks and power specs I wonder who would ever be foolish enough to spend 45 laks for that in India ?
