could this be the Macan? Referring to Green and Black. Too small to be Cayenne. As per insideline, the Q5 are Macan in disguise. if seen carefully, the green one is almost same in size, have test antennas like q5 and matches the sketch. what's cooking? Even the front DRL and the scoop matches and so does side profile as well as the arch above the wheel.

Does the name Macan have a meaning in any specific language? The concept looks cool. Although sharing the platform with Q5 is purely from a cost perspective, it would do Porsche some good to differentiate with the engines specs, features and innards to make their own mark.
Also wish if they do launch it in India, they rename it to something else. Calling it Porsche Macan is only going to be a marketing harakiri for it can be construed as Porsche is getting into the construction business.

At the top of the range will be two or possibly even three V6 engines, including a supercharged gasoline unit making close to 300hp, and a 3.0-liter turbo diesel with around 250hp and over 300hp (the latter from the new Audi SQ5).

After so many references to Audi, you won't be surprised to learn that the Macan will share its underpinning with the next Q5. The two models will use many common components such as the steering systems, axles, transmissions and Audi's quattro all-wheel drive system.

However, to alleviate concerns about handling and dynamics, Porsche engineers will fine-tune the chassis and develop their own dynamic control systems.

Porsche itself has confirmed that the new compact-sized luxury SUV is scheduled to go into production in 2013.

Porsche Macan will be the cheapest Porsche one can buy!

The Porsche Macan, Indonesian for Tiger, will be a Cayenne-inspired crossover to take on the BMW X3, Mercedes ML Class and the Land Rover Freelander
The Macan will share the same underpinnings as the new Audi Q5.

Macan is going to be a completely different SUV from the Q5 in terms of dynamics. New engines, transmissions and suspensions have been developed specifically for the Macan.

Soon after its debut, the Porsche Macan will hit the stands for an expected starting price of 45,000 Euros (24.60 lakhs). Porsche plan to sell 45,000 to 65,000 units of Macan every year.

Those tail lights look so much better than the ones in the scoop photos. Matter of fact, this design would suit the bigger brother Cayenne as well.

In fact this render has made me think again about the opinion i had (Ugly !) of the Macan.

If this is how it will look im sure the Q5 territory will be dominated now by a Porsche.

PS - Also love the new blackened element on the lower part of the door, much more better proportioned than the usual side claddings we see on SUV's
