Nice list Scorcher.

The Lambo, Ferrari and Pagani are definitely big ones.

I should be on the show floor in an hour or two. More then.

Tushky - sometimes the concept cars don't have interiors! (but will try nonetheless)

Cheers,
R

Re: Is Tata going to reveal some Pixels at Geneva Motors Show ?

It is a 3door car with gullwing doors

Heres a glimpse from Economic times

Although just a concept it is gorgeous and the right product for Tata to launch in Europe, an offbeat VFM small car, although its early days yet.

If so, it will be a crime on Tata's part if they deny India the same.

SKODA Vision D Concept (Next Gen Laura/Octavia)

Skoda has unveiled the new Vision Concept D and this will be the basis for the next gen Octavia/laura. Its a pretty clean design from the looks of it and its probably easy to imagine what the next gen Octavia/Laura will look like. Its possibly due anytime soon as its reached the end of its life cycle i believe being in the market for 5 years or so.

Also we can see the new Skoda Logo which looks pretty cool. Its like what Starbucks has done with there logo, keeping the basic design and making its newer without any text.

IMHO, This blend of nano and Diesel will propel Tata sales to a possible level over Maruti Suzuki. Also, The silhouette does not look like a 3DR, so it might be he European Version of the Nano!

Look at the pic,you can easily make out the nano europa under it,the lights are a dead giveaway

Wow! Tata Pixel looks really great. Side profile is much more beautiful in the three door. But will this succeed in india?

I liked the overall profile of the car. Few things that came to my notice are
  • The grill height should have been aligned with the height of the lamp towards the grille.
  • The back has got bits and pieces of 1st Gen Laura. Nothing good or bad.
  • Notch back design may not go well down with Indian customers.
  • I would rate this 7/10.

i dont think India will get the exaggerated notchback design as seen here. We will get a slightly bigger 3rd Box so to speak. And by the looks of it, it will look Fantastic.

Audi shows A3 sedan concept at GENEVA 2011

Audi trotted out its A3 sedan concept at the Geneva, and it's a lovely bit of compact, Teutonic hotness. A ton of carbon fiber bits and pieces litter the shapely sheetmetal, all enclosing a very Germanic four-seat interior.

The five-cylinder engine that uses turbocharging and FSI to pump out 408 horsepower. Peak torque measures 368 pound feet, and all that power is available between 1,600 and 5,300 rpm. Audi claims its A3 concept can hit 62 mph in 4.1 seconds and is electronically governed to a top speed of 155 mph. Impressively fuel mileage is estimated at 25.85 U.S. miles per gallon.

A seven-speed dual clutch gearbox handles shifting duties, and naturally, is naturally sent to all four wheels via Quattro all-wheel-drive. We're rather intrigued by the 20-inch wheels that are molded from carbon fiber and aluminum, which should save weight in the most crucial area.
