Re: 2012 F1- Monaco Grand Prix

Sometimes I wonder bout Monaco. If it was not Monaco, Bernie and co would have banned it ages ago, as too unsafe. Also, almost no chance of overtaking. All the excitement will come from the commentators (possibly too well lubricated!).

This time too we will have a new Winner, and hopefully Schumi on the Podium.

5 races down and things are now getting PREDICTABLE
Looks really tough for MS - he already have 5 place penalty.

I am on for Alonso as he is getting good performance from car. Masa should be in good points this time.
This all can go in fumes in a second on this track. Rain and some aggresive overtaking, we have everthing turns upside down. Again Ghost of Tyre mangement haunt every team in last 10 laps.

Yeah Rosberg tops FP3 and followed by Massa, good show by Massa hope he follows it up with good qualifying and on race day too.

Suprisingly Shumacher on 8th and Kimi on 12th.

All set and ready for the qualifying, hope to see a good qualifying session.

Just a wish. Hope it rains and all stewards go on leave without red flagging. Can we see something like this?

Re: 2012 F1- Monaco Grand Prix

Maldonado gets 10 grid place penalty for his crash with Perez.

Raikkonen seems to be struggling for pace while Grosjean is flying in the other Lotus, won't be surprised to see Grosjean on Pole.

The grand old man of Formula One takes the pole in Monaco, the most difficult circuit in F1. 69th career pole. Respect!

Re: 2012 F1- Monaco Grand Prix

Michael get Pole position but based on 5place penalty Mark Webber will start from Pole.

Excellent!!! Excellent!!! last lap by Michael he just flew, biggest disappointment in qualifying was Kimi who struggeld into Q3 but at the same time Grosjean flew but couldnt manage to finish well in qualifying.

Again disppointment for Massa he finished fastest in Q2 but couldnt finish well in Q3, will start from 7th on the Grid.

Tomorrow's race promises to be very exciting, looking forward to Lotus doing well.

With the penalty will the statistics give him or Webber the pole?

Michael is on the press meet as the one on pole. So I guess stats will keep that, even though he start from fifth place tomorrow.

Re: 2012 F1- Monaco Grand Prix

Where did that come from? That was really a good lap from Michael. Webber too had a good lap which now puts him in P1, but he can't be too sure of winning this.

Re: 2012 F1- Monaco Grand Prix

I have to give it to the old man Schumacher.

This hard work, grit and tenacity to overcome the doubters in the past couple of years has paid off. Replies to his critics with a pole and in what style.

Re: 2012 F1- Monaco Grand Prix

What an insightful qualifying session - multiple accidents/brushes and the pole position gets juggled till the last few seconds. Tomorrow is going to be an interesting day. Wonder how am I going to handle it with the race and IPL final clashing!

OT : What exactly happened between Maldonado and Perez during the practice session? The F1 website doesn't really give a lot of info on this.
