re: 2012 F1 - Sao Paulo Brazil

The rain has stepped the game up a notch, it has rained between practice 3 and qualifying.
But now the rain has stopped and track is drying up.

It will be the battle of the strategy for qualifying.

re: 2012 F1 - Sao Paulo Brazil

What a nice qualifying, Hamilton + Button P1, P2 wonderful.

RedBull not far behind, but looks like Ferrari are paying for their dedicated focus on ONE Driver throughout the season. Massa looks stronger than Alonso.

Schumi was a sad P14, wish him a fun filled race tomorrow.

But it all boils down to the weather gods tomorrow, Hopefully we will have a fitting Finale.

Mclaren 1-2 with Red bulls behind them locking up the 2nd row. Great drive by Hamilton and Button outqualifying the Red Bull's.
Alonso a distant 8 has a big mountain to climb in tomorrow's race.
I am starting my rain dance from tomorrow morning.
It will be interesting to see how Massa starting behind Vettel will come into play in tomorrow's race using some sneaky strategy to upset Vettel.

All set for a grand finale for what I could remember as a great season of F1 racing in a long long time.

re: 2012 F1 - Sao Paulo Brazil

I can see it all now:

Felipe pressurizes Vettel on turn 1 or throughout the race tomorrow, and hopefully Vettel spins out.

Or:

We get to see some Grosjean vs De La Rosa qualifying replay, the only difference being it happens between Massa and Vettel in a more disastrous manner, both go out, and Alonso brings himself to a safe 3rd place (at the minimum) .

By the way, Alonso was smiling during the post qualifying interview, is there something Ferrari has planned/knows we dont ? He does not seem very worried.

Interesting qualifying indeed. Quite sure that Vettel will cover Webber by turn 1 (going by the not-so-good starts the latter had in this season). And Massa indeed have a key role to play in his home track.

Rain or no rain, should be cracking contest tomorrow!

Massa outqualifies Alonso! Looks like Alonso has given up.
Hamilton again on pole, Button 2, Webber 3, Vettel 4, Massa 5, Maldonado 6, Hulk 7, Alonso 8, Kimi 9, Rosberg 10.

Only hope for Alonso- Madcap Maldonado takes out Vettel.

re: 2012 F1 - Sao Paulo Brazil

With a McLaren 1-2 on the grid, even the 2nd place in constructors seem to be slipping away from Ferrari.

Also, Massa has outqualified Alonso again. Will they change the gearbox on Massa's car again?

Would be more interesting if the race starts on dry and rains come in later during the race rather than everyone starting on inter or full wets from start.

That Ferrari under Alonso looks a real handful.

For a dry race, McLaren got the win in the bag. The cars and drivers look very strong.

Looking bad for Ferrari if its a dry race tomorrow.

Michael has confirmed a wet setup for tomorrow, it will be interesting if it rains!

Nope, Stefano has already confirmed that no such action will be taken. But definitely there will be some strategic thoughts going on in the Ferrari camp.
