Narain Karthikeyan: India's FIRST F1 Driver confirmed!!

guys,

i saw this on CNBC .it has been confirmed that Narain will in the 2005 Jordan F1 team having Toyota engines.

Hey SS,

Has this been confirmed? Or is it still in the wait n watch stage?? Our news channels are not the most reliable when it comes to things like this where they don't know much about the subject.

NK probably said he was being considered for the Jordan drive, and the news channel eager to get one step ahead, decided to go ahead and make him a Jordan driver anyways!!

Well, I for one hope he gets the seat. And more importantly, I hope he does well! He has the speed, that we know, lets hope he can be more consistent.

First Indian in F1.....whats the contract period...and he is known for not being the most gentle with the cars... thats pretty evidant watching him in the TELEFONICA world series...
Now the question is can he save the car till the end of the race?

Narain himself as been quoted as saying that his manager is in talks with both Minardi and Jordan Team Managements as of yesterday 31/01/05 ........
SO NOTHING IS CONFIRMED YET.......

i didnt see anything on CNBC but AAJTAK is scrolling that news ....

NDTV INDIA has also carried this news and has also said that SPEED an Bharat Petroleum product is to be his MAIN SPONSOR ............ an official of Bharat Petroleum has confirmed the drive on NDTV .......

SPEED will be his main sponsor and BHARAT PETROLEUM has loads of money to spare .......
and an official from Bharat Petroleum confirmed this news on NDTV India
