I was hoping Di Resta gets to prove his race worthiness in the winter tests. He beat Vettel in one of the junior categories .Now that the lineup is confirmed he looks like a good prospect for 2011 .

There are rumors already that Kimi has signed a 1-year contract with Mercedes and also in process of acquiring a more juicy offer with RB from 2011.

Most of the F1 circle is awaiting the announcement of the Merc drivers. The team for sure needs a driver who can win Drivers Championship rather than hiring Free Practice Champions :D

any link? tried searching but cant find this info anywhere online:eek:

Its unofficial and most probably a rumour :D

But this rumour has been making big rounds and also about his 1-year deal with Citreon for WRC!

I read here that Mercedes GP is testing 2 new drivers. Despite Brawn's statement that they want an experienced driver, they could give it to a rookie afterall.

Thats got nothing to do with the 2010 driver lineup! Even Ferrari, Renault & BMW offer this since they are running a young driver program! For their future prospects!

It is on the WRC site as well now. Kimi's management is about to announce a deal with Citroen after ironing out a few creases. Red Bull is said to be behind this deal and in 2011 Kimi may be back to F1 in a Red Bull. I'm waiting for the announcement with crossed fingers :)

He is just playing to the gallery. He is better off with his 'pensioner' driving.

Probably not for long, he could still come back next year with RedBull F1 team, if his link with RedBull gets stronger

This means that Mercedes GP did not try hard to sign Raikkonen. What could be behind this? Mr.Brawn wanted only champion drivers in his team and without kimi what are the other options left? Nick Heidfeld may be? Is he a champion driver? Or is it that Schumacher will make a comeback?

A JWRC drive for one year means that he has to really shine if he wants to move to WRC. I suppose if he can\'t, he\'ll try to return to F1.

BMW Sauber is back in formula 1 for 2010 - replaced toyota.

so 2 more openings.
