This cant be serious , can it ? :Shockked:
Quite an explosive silly season this is turning out to be !
Do you guys seriously believe this?
Schumi continuing to help in Ferrari road car development, with added responsibilities of a full time Merc GP driver?
Its impossible on 2 counts
1. Time required : considering the time needed in F1 practise, F1 car development, I doubt any full time F1 driver even gets chance to change diapers of his baby when the season is going on in full swing, let alone road car development!!
2. Conflict of interest : Now a days, with F1 technology driving so many features of supercars, i dont think Merc bosses would be happy to let Schumi work on Ferrari road cars development, while being Merc F1 driver.
I foresee Raikkonen at Merc GP now that Lewis and Button are confirmed at McLaren. Would be great to see Kimi back in Silver car.
Or is it Hakkinen making comeback ?
As JC would have said, "I would eat my hair if this happens!!"

That's assuming Schumacher stays with Ferrari. He can quite easily leave Ferrari altogether if he wants to. So it's not impossible that he becomes a full time Merc driver. The German connection helps a lot.
And Schumi did want to make a comeback but Ferrari have no more vacancies now.
I'm saying mainly, that it could happen. Extremely unlikely, but not an impossibility.
And remember, JC did eat his hair! :D

And I do agree with that. Maclaren is LH's patch and he will blow away Button, no doubts about that. If this move happens, I wonder whether Button will stay at Maclaren for longer than 1 season. His best bet is with Brawn.
And a shocker! Kimi might sit out 2010 :Frustrati
Raikkonen to sit-out 2010 season
If this does happen, then I wonder whether he will return at all to F1. Sad :(
My predictions for 2010 ( predictions make the predictors look foolish:D)
1. Kimi will likely do rallying in 2010
2. Button won't be competitive if he is in McLaren
3. Ditto for Massa in Ferrari
4. Brawn won't do well in 2010 if they don't get top notch drivers, other things being equal
5. Lucky Lewis will likely be the 2010 WDC
6. Sebastian Vettel can be a close challenger if RBR provides competitive cars
7. Alonso will pick up fights with Ferrari if the car is less competitive relative to McLaren/RBR
8. A certainty : issigonis won't watch F1 2010
In mourning

Too bad... he finally calls off an year in F1! :Frustrati
I don't think F1 will be same for me again :(
Disappointing outcome, not sure if he can make a comeback at all. Why would a team hire a driver who is out of F1, unless he makes a deal now.
^^^^ - Nico Rosberg & Nick Heidfeld look like the guys who are going to be in the new Silver Arrows.
Both are very good drivers (quick), although they had a bit of bad luck in 09.
My money is on Red bull and Vettel for next year.
That would be logical. I also believe this now that Raikkonnen is taking a sabbatical from F1 for a year. I am just wondering a bit about the "surprize" that Brawn mentionedin an interview some days back !
So its just been officially announced that the two Englishmen, Jenson Button and Lewis Hamilton will be racing for McLaren.
Remains to be seen whether Mercedes GP will now go in for an all German driver lineup i.e. Rosberg and Heidfeld
^^ Button to get six million pounds a year at McLaren

Kimi will likely do rallying. period. Unless Ferrari boot-out Massa or Jenson leaves Maclaren after 2010.
I'll watch a few races, heck i'll watch a lot, but I dont think it will prioritize my sunday evenings any more. I still plan to travel to Abu Dhabi on race weekend though.
