HT and I guess others have random people writing formula one articles, 1-2 times I have been approached by journalists for my views on F1 events and on searching about those journos , one finds they write on everything from temples to travel visits to politics.

HA HA! Hilarious.

BMW seems to be getting a lot of mileage out F1 even after pulling out...

The BMW Sauber Team haven't even changed their name despite a Ferrari engine powering their car...

And now, a Merc is being addressed as a BMW!

I don't know whether the BMW Marketing team will be JOYful or sorrowful!

What a major blunder! Hope they have apologized for the same. I think due to the long relationship that Petronas shared with Sauber, the editors assumed it must have been the same. Its high time they get a well versed Formula One editor before the season starts!

FORCE INDIA F1 Car for 2010

The car looks neat and also the Front wing looks well developed.

Mirrors very Ferrari like on the external bodywork

This time the Force India cars look very much INDIAN as compared to last year.

But the nose is perched a bit hig, when are they starting testing?

The car looks good except for the shark fin attached to the wing. I am not a fan of the fin.

The sidepods are compact like last years' Brawn and the front wing looks sophisticated already with end plates and all.

The nose looks tall or is it just too wide? The nose doesn't sport a V shape but has bulge to accommodate the front suspension elements.

The livery is almost same except for a greener rear wing and like all the 2010 cars, the wheelbase is longer.

Let hope the car can be competitive at least in some tracks like Spa last year.

Liuzzi will give the car its first public run at Jerez tomorrow.

Does anyone has the picture of VJM03' diff?

Yes, I second Pavan. Force India looks much better this year compared to the last. Hope they'll perform well too.

F1 Update: The new RB6, Lotus & the rains

The new Red Bull RB6 is the logical evolution of the 2009 Red Bull and it's no crime as the RB5 was the fastest car of the 2010 grid towards the end of the season. The RB5 was really a very radical car with a lot of innovative details like the the rear pull rod suspension and the lizard nose.

What's interesting on the RB6 is the tight rear which despite the larger fuel tank looks compact...

The team is said to have analyzed a possible switchover to Mercedes power-plant for 2010 but decided against it.

It is a surprise as Mercedes seems to have the highest power rating on the grid while the Renault among the least powerful. But what the Renault have in spades is a good fuel efficiency and I am sure Red Bull would have switched but for the refueling ban.

Anyways, some interesting updates are sure to appear like on all the cars before Bahrain...

Autosport has got a great scoop on the new Lotus F1 car during a secret shakedown at Silverstone and the machine looks striking in the legendary green and yellow colours.

Lotus is scheduled to appear for the third test at Jerez.

Jerez day 1 running was lost to rain today and teams couldn't do as many laps as they had planned.

Rosberg's Merc leads Buemi's Toro Rosso followed by Hulkenberg's Williams. Alonso in F10 and Kobayashi in Sauber complete the top 5 as of now.
