NK has been recalled for the Second Testing for Williams...he has managed to set faster times than their Second Driver........so could there be a chance of him edging his way to another Driving Seat??

WOW. NK driving is really gelling with the Williams chassis, more so than Webber himself ...upon whose feedback the car has been designed.

Narain was not only the fastest V8 runner, but he also managed to do it wth only 37 Laps as against 46 laps by Webber. But like Conan says, lets take it with a pinch of salt because every driver will be running different setups so we can never be too sure.

Way to go Narain !!!

even i feel they will be running with different setup (webber and narain). 1 second difference with same setup that too against webber looks like a herculean task... if it is on the same setup then he definitely deserves a drive in williams (not as a thrid driver).

2nd driver seat he cannot get for the year 2006 even if hes faster than anyone be it even kimi because of the contracts
I always loved this guy and he is fantastic what was missing was the engine and now he has it, the guy has the ability and now all he needs to perform this way and make mark for 2007 season

Best of luck narain u still make us proud man

Seats have been confirmed for Weber and Rosberg, only hope is test driver spot. But knowing Frank Williams, he may park Rosberg and put NK in the cockpit based on performance.

as for
STR: Red Bull already has Luzzi & Scott Speed waiting
Williams: Nico Rosberg for F1 drive is all but confirmed, they have Pizzanio doing testing (it is rumored that Pizzanio might go to cart), Albers/Doornboss is much better option is for Williams even from Sponsorers point of view

In my opinion only money will keep Narain in F1 (that too seems difficult)

All websites giving this news are Indian websites
didn't they said some time ago that TATA were to enter in F1 ?

There is no chance of him getting the 2nd driver seat at Williams. Nico Rosbergs seat has been confirmed and a contract has been signed. Narian will not get a race seat anywhere else as all contracts have been signed. I have inserted the line up for 2006. Also Michelin has pulled out from F1 after the 2006 season. Bridgestone will be the only tyre supplier from 2007 onwards.

Renault:
Fernando Alonso
Giancarlo Fisichella

McLaren:
Kimi Raikkonen
Juan Pablo Montoya

Ferrari:
Michael Schumacher
Felipe Massa

Toyota:
Ralf Schumacher
Jarno Trulli

Williams:
Mark Webber
Nico Rosberg

Honda:
Rubens Barrichello
Jenson Button

Red Bull:
David Coulthard
Christian Klien

BMW Sauber:
Nick Heidfeld
Jacques Villeneuve

MF1:
Tiago Monteiro
Christijan Albers

Toro Rosso:
Vitantonio Liuzzi
Scott Speed

Narain has done a great job in the Williams test, being a whole second quicker than Webber is quite an achievement. I only wish he impresses the team throughout the season if he becomes the third driver for williams.
Wish him all the best.

Williams Jerez test summary 2005-12-14/16

Racing series Date 2005-12-16
Comments from the Williams team after the three day test at Jerez
Sam Michael, Technical Director, WilliamsF1:
"Over the last three weeks, the team has been hard at work in Spain, completing some really useful testing to identify any major issues with the new engine, gearbox and electronics that we will use next year."
"Mark, Nico and Narain drove at this week's test in Jerez and all contributed to furthering our understanding of how the car is working on Bridgestone tyres and with a V8 engine."
"Now we've finished our 2005 testing programme, it's time for a short break before we return to Jerez in the New Year. We are really looking forward to starting 2006 with our partners, Cosworth and Bridgestone."
Mark Webber:
"As with any testing at this time of year, it goes without saying that there are many new components on the car and it would be fair to say we're still getting to grips with some of them. In terms of solutions, the guys are doing a very good job at the moment."
"Personally, I don't feel I need a break so I wish we could continue with the programme, hence I'm looking forward to January, and especially February, when we'll have the new car."
Simon Corbyn, Head of F1 Race Engineering, Cosworth:
"The initial tests with WilliamsF1 have been a big challenge for Cosworth and the new CA2006 V8 engine. Both engine performance and reliability have been encouraging, although we still have plenty to keep us occupied prior to the season opener in Bahrain. The next priority for both Cosworth and Williams is to enjoy a well deserved Christmas break."
Kaz Hamamura, Test Operations Manager, Bridgestone Motorsport:
"This week draws to a conclusion the WilliamsF1 Team's two week test with Bridgestone in Jerez. Although they have had limited running, the team have nevertheless worked well through their tyre tests."
"Furthermore, despite some interruptions, we have been very impressed with their efficiency and professionalism. The Williams FW27C is an interim car which is showing considerable potential and we were pleased with the consistency of the lap times over long runs."

The only chance he has of getting a seat no is if Super Aguri F1 are allowed to join for the 2006 season after their first bid was rejected. Also even if they do enter F1 ts not likely that he will get the seat as Takuma Sato and Antonia Pizzonia have been asked to be the driver. Still a possibility of him bieng a test driver though but unlikely
