williams are in trouble..

no free engines from BMW.. no HP sponsorship
both will come as huge blows for the team
in fact they are going to invest additional funds into their engine project with Cosworth

so they are cash strapped..
and if they dont do well.. its all downhill from here

getting a pay driver as their 3rd driver is a good option
esp someone like narain who will bring lots of publicity with him

narain will have a lot to learn from them as well...
and if he impresses enough on fridays.. it will give him a better chance of securing a race driver for 2007

and i dont think he has any other offers from other teams

Narain's best bet would be a Minardi drive. But IMO the chances of even that are very remote.

Oh yeh, you're right and the RedBull (2nd) has no vacancies. That means there's virtually NO chance for NK.

its now called as Squadra Toro Rosso
source

as for
STR: Red Bull already has Luzzi & Scott Speed waiting
Williams: Nico Rosberg for F1 drive is all but confirmed, they have Pizzanio doing testing (it is rumored that Pizzanio might go to cart), Albers/Doornboss is much better option is for Williams even from Sponsorers point of view

In my opinion only money will keep Narain in F1 (that too seems difficult)

I think NK dosen't have much of a choice in F1 rite now. I think'll driving for Williams will be better than driving for Jordan

If he does go to Williams, it would be as a test/third driver, not a race seat. And sadly at his age, that pretty much means the end of his F1 racing career.

m sorry to say that narian was good in formula 2001, and all those levls but in f1 too hes just been tying to compete with his co-driver. . he just seems sometimse toooo agresive. . and sometimes tooo demure. . . he just din fit in there. . . plus he also lacks the whole flair, attitue of a F1 driver. . . i mean u need to show off . . . coz obviouvlsy u r driving a enginerring marvel a 800+ hp car. . .. . . but he jst din look like dat. . .but none d less RESPECT for the first INDIAN in F1. WAY to go NARIAN.
n SIr FrankWilliam according to me will not sign up Narian Karthikeyan, coz he workd wid d likes of NIgel manson, Damon Hill (he might not be big but he won the 1996 champion ship), also the great ALIAN PROST.

Yup read the same article in the Deccan Herald here and was telling Sridhar24 about this...NK is going to be another Alex Yoong who never stayed in F1 more than a year.
Even if he does get a seat in Williams hes practically going to be in another Minardi...and I dont think Frank Williams is going to employ him without a few millions in his pocket.

NK's driving style dosent make him very suitable to be a test driver. Nobody else can use his setup.

NK was harping all along that Jordan/Midland want him back next year, but I guess Shnaider has plans of his own.
