So, time to bump up the thread.

Car was last time fueled in Feb 2020, and then I got it refueled in Oct 2020 all thanks to Corona Even though car was driven less than 2000kms in the whole year, but it was around 13 months since last servicing. Got the servicing done, but instead of major service scheduled at 60K kms mark, it was a kind of minor service - no major liquid change was done except Engine Oil - everything just included top-ups.
But for sure, servicing cost has gone up. I have sent a message to SA to give more clarity to this.
Note - I have skipped replacing the disk plate, the outer circumference is rusty and SA has recommended replacing it in next service or maybe after running it for few kms. There is no change in brake application.

Couple of photos with data.

First one depicting the biggest gap of fuel refill done till date - from 18th Feb 2020 to 7th Nov 2020 - all thanks to Corona and lockdown !



Second one, shows the trend of rising fuel price in India. This is from the day I purchased vehicle and it's a long steady uphill graph. Proud to say that India now is number one in fuel collection taxes across the world

So, its about time we replace the stuff that is the only contact car has with the road.

Car was standing still, or very very rarely moved in last 9 months or so.

Tread wear looks still kind of OK considering the run and age. Check the highlighted red section in the bottom of image.



What I am afraid of, is development of minor cuts across the circumference. Maybe because of age and dryness of rubber compound.



Also have ordered RogerAbs suspension TPU buffer - these are available for a discount right now if someone is interested. Costed me 5300rs + 500rs for installation. So, a small update on the installed RogerAbs kit. Shipping took about 3 days, and installation was done at their preferred service centre.
And finally I was able to maneuver a speed breaker on which I had previously scraped ...so it does make a difference. Can't say much on high speed or fully loaded car.

Next change is tyres in a couple of days.

These work really well against speed breakers .I have been using the same for past 40k kms on my city zx . The ground clearance problem has reduced by a large extent .
Although wasnt too happy with the front once and promptly removed them within a few hundred kms of installing them.

I have the same thing installed on my Amaze. I had got both the front and rear suspension overhauled and got these Suspension spacers installed. The Amaze has a horrible stock suspension and seemed to crash and scrape it's belly. With the addition of these spacers, the car seems to take speed breakers and potholes with ease. High speed stability also seems to have improved.
Hope these work exceptionally well and long for you as well.
Please keep this thread updated and let us know about the tyres as well.

Update : New set of tires installed.

I was since long very much inclined to go in for an upgrade. Stock tires are 195/55 R16 - Apollo Alnac 4G - pretty much decent tread still available after 52K kms run.



Upgrade options I had were - 195/60 R16 or 205/55 R16.

My main consideration with upgrade was -
1. Get a bit better ground clearance.
2. Mileage should not be impacted much
3. Steering should not become heavier.
4. Most Imp being that it should not touch the wheel well/underside on 3 adults and boot full.

Dealers, friends, online YouTube videos and various other sources gave me 50:50 verdict about the upgrade.

Finally, found a dealer who had 195/60 R16 used set of 4 tires. I asked him a favor to install this before I make up my mind. On installation, the front tires on full left or right direction had about 2 fingers or maybe 3 fingers gap.
But the main issue was with rear side. On 3 adults, I managed to scrape a speed breaker 1 out of 5 times, that too with nothing in boot. I had to be very careful so as to avoid it.
(Do note that this test was BEFORE installation of RogerAbs suspension buffer. Probably after this it would have worked better)

After the above test, I got the RogerAbs Suspension buffering done, and then went ahead with stock size - GoodYear 195/55 R16. I had an option of Bridgestone too, but without warranty ( it had just manufacturing warranty ) - and GoodYear came with 2 years unconditional warranty + 5 years of manufacturing warranty. Continental was skipped as they were from Feb/Mar 2020 - whereas GoodYear was the most fresh(Nov 2020).

Total for all 4 with buyback of old tires costed me 21500/-

To my surprise, when the car was checked after new tires, alignment was spot on. This is after the fact that I have never done alignment in 5.5 years of usage. Car drives in a straight line, with no deviations - and with this I don't want someone to mess with it.

Costing provided to me for other options -
Bridgestone - around 6600 per tire
Continental - around 6100 per tire
Apollo - around 6100 per tire

After a gap of nearly a year, too a small vacation to the hills and some snow.

As usual, nice drive, post RogerAbs suspension feels more planted, I can feel improvement over stock for sure. Less disturbance in flyovers and their irritating gaps.

Had an amazing drive, lovely weather, snowfall and rain.

The condition of car on return was horrible - dirt and mud everywhere. 200rs well spent on getting it thoroughly washed.

And I am getting used at seeing these phenomenal average figures - constant speed of 90-100 and close to 150 to 200 kms on mountain roads. Absolutely fantastic mileage !

Guys, notices the roof liner sagging at the back.
Similarly there is a small section sagging on top of driver side. This results in continues chick-chik noise when driving.
Looks like I'll have to get it replaced...any leads in Delhi / NCR ?

Experimented with Sonax Detailer Spray - Very easy to use, no hassle, just spray and use a microfiber to wipe it off.
No need for pre-cleaning or washing - though generally good if you do so.

Thoroughly impressed - maybe not as good as outcome of waxing, but in terms of effort and physical labor its 5 star.

Update :

Couple of running expense.
Gear knob was worn out, replaced with genuine Ciaz knob.

Wipers were replaced as they had become hard and were leaving streaks behind, and if I recollect have been replaced just once before in 5.5 years of ownership.

Both costed me 350 each, plus 50 for installation.

Additionally, for others facing the issue, there was a continues chik-chik noise coming between dashboard and windshield. Sprayed WD40 along the whole edge from extreme left to extreme right, between slight gap in dashboard & glass. Worked wonder - it's noiseless now !

Sounds more like a case of wrong/forceful installation. Do check if it has cracked inside out or only on the surface.

Also just curious, is your car parked in sun for long periods? I had left my XL6 in scorching sun once for 6 hours and when I returned, the leather on the steering wheel was feeling bit weird and the gearknob had become a bit sticky to hold.
