Vijay, There is a very active 4x4 community in Chennai that go for OTR's practically every month. In fact lot's of t-bhpians from Chennai go for OTR's.

I think ACT opted out and the new ler is MAYA Motors.

The new dealer is Maya Motors. They have opened up their showroom in LB road, Adyar couple of weeks back and are about to open another one in ambattur.

Not too sure about ACT. The news update suggests that the existing dealership in LB road Adyar was taken over by Maya motors.

Hi Vijay,

Many thanks for really taking the effort to scan and post the part of the manual. Really appreciated.

From the manual, it appears that the Pajero has fully lockable central diff and limited slip rear diff.

One thing I noticed is - one of the Pajero versions comes with lockable hubs! Which version is this? Does your car have these hubs?

No Anand . There is only one model being sold by HM and they do not have lockable hubs.

Vijay,

Congrats and thanks for that bone-honest review, liked everything about it.

I've read every word with interest as I've been assessing the Beast for some time. My next upgrade would be something in this range or higher, a true SUV with all the bells and whistles.

Looking forward to more reports from you.. I am sure in the coming times, Pijero would improve a lot and maybe the price would drop.

BTW, what are your warrantee terms?

1 year, 20000KM or 2 years, 40000KM?

Do they offer extended warrantee? For how much?

For the soon-to-be launched Mitsu Outlander, mitsu has been offering 10 years warrantee in the US!!!

Hi Vijay, That was an extremely good review and made a wonderful read ! Bravo and thank you for sharing the experiences !
Have some faint notion that my next upgrade should be Pajero - my dream vehicle is incidentally a Pajero - but the low FE and the cost of spares seems to be putting the shivers into me. Also wondering as to why the Pajero, which is built like a tank, doesn't come with a 3 year/75 K KMs or higher warranty ? Perceptionwise the 1 year warranty makes it appear like a pansy in a knight's armour !
Anyway shall be watching this space for further notes from you on the Pajero - experiences and costs in general.

Good luck on your next upgrade. pl let me know what bells and whistles you intend to add.

the price of the current pajero ex show room has crossed 19 lacs. When i bought it was 18.8 so wish you luck on that too.

Standard warrante is 1 yr or 20000/- kms. I have taken an extended warrante for 1 more year or 20000 kms for 11000/- rs. Let us see at what terms they launch outlander here.

Fe is less agreed. But the prices of the spares have come down. I shall post the price list of spares soon .

As I wrote in my review the warranty terms on the Pajero is an insult to the vehicle.
