Hey Santosh

Check out this link about the ECU Unit. I Know its a bit late but maybe there is something there which may come in help after the new one has been set up and has any glitches (hope not)

In normal postion, the clutch and brake pedal should be at the same height.
yes Rajesh - Post mortem to be done 29th saturday @ Tass. But no giving into their ideas like...

TASS - "Change full Assy saar"
Me : "I will change my TASS saar"

Yep Nandan - thanks for the link. Since it was under warranty did not bother to do anything more than give it to TASS.

After the clutch cable fiasco, I wanted to actually shift from my service centre. But due to the Onam season business went for 60000kms service to them only.

Clutch cable change still due!

Went to the TASS and got a simple Play adjustment job done. Now problem has complicated.

1) The gear shift throw length has reduced by 2CM~. Meaning I reach 1st gear and 3rd gear even before I feel I am there. Stick hardly moves a inch. Earlier stock setting was a good long throw and felt the gears change. Now the stick hardly moves and the Cog is already changed!!!

2) Reverse doesnt fall that correctly. Even with that there is a Huge "KRRACK" sound of gearbox when reverse is engaged - as if done without pressing clutch.

3) Senior mech told next service (due in about a month) - will remove gearbox and inspect full clutch Assy. He winked and told -may try for warranty claim...

4) Edit - The entire play level is adjusted. No more cable adj to be done. Looks like friction plate is worn out!!

The pressure plate! Mine is acting up again and would be able to try for repairs only after September 2nd (Onam).

How is the clutch brake pedal height relationship? My gear lever movements are normal, though, with a little reluctance in slotting into gears. The gears slot smoothly if I press the clutch completely to the last millimetre.

All the best.

Rajesh
height are nearly same. may be a MM or 2 off...
Now after the adj done on saturday, the gear feels much better now. No CLASHing sound while engaging reverse.
Yes, if I change gears VERY JUDICIOUSLY, they mesh very nicely. If I try some QUICK changes, they RESIST.
I also need to wait until month end for the full service interval to come up...

They are supposed to be at the same height when normal.

My clutch cable needs more adjustment or change (as advised by TIUG). Now that Onam business is over, I would get to it.

Got the 5K checkup and tyre rotation/alignment check done.

The clutch cable was re-adjusted back to normal position. Now it travels lot less into the firewall and much lower compared to the brake pedal. Something was set wrong 1st time...

CLAIMED - the entire gear shifter assy was lubricated/greased and now it feels a lot better. TASS Assured clutch assy (entire components) were perfect for the 32000 Kms it has served for and it doesnt need a expensive open-check-replace-close job. Nice guys...

40K Cycle service done at 37K - update

I got the 40K service done a bit early at 37K Kms.

Reason:
Car was driven thru Kurnool (AP) floods, HYD and Back to Blore, abused badly. One quick chennai and back to Bangy trip. Rattled badly in another short trip to Coorg and back to bangy, all this had taken its toll.

Changed -
Engine oil
Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Gearbox oil
Coolant
Brake Oil
Bardhal Additive
Wheel rotation, tyre rotation, balancing and alignment.

Damage - 5,934 Rs
Effect - A New car feeling (Only power steering oil not changed)

Grudge - Interior washing was crap and lots of improvement needed. Gave a BAD rating for washing to the Girl from Pune who calls after every service.

Pics Attached.

Indigo CS TDI - 40,000Kms done. Edit: SOLD-18122009079.jpg

Indigo CS TDI - 40,000Kms done. Edit: SOLD-18122009077.jpg

Last Drawn FE - 20 Kmpl Bangy-chennai-bangy (100-110KmPh)
City - 15Kmpl

Comments Welcome.
