No shocker here . A strut costs only 1850 /- Rs and yeah my friend's baleno had to undergo the rear wheel bearing change. I was in for a surprise when I got to know the prices for the struts and the wheel bearings.

You guys aren't going to believe this! Got the wheel bearing put on in 45 minutes this morning,my service advisor takes the car out for a spin and gives me the car back.Just as im about to leave he calls me back saying oil is leaking from under the car.Immediately knew its gearbox oil.

Put it on the hoist, and confirmed its coming from the gearbox.Got the driveshaft removed and found that the differential bearing was messed up.

With labour and parts it would work out to around 5-6k. So have left the car there for today, most probably will pick up a GT gearbox or a G15 box in the morning.

This is one mod im looking forward to bigtime!

Have also got:
05 Subaru Impreza WRX injectors 380cc which drop straight in.Will be hooked up the the Racedynamics ecu as soon as it reaches me.
1 set of taillamps
1 set of new headlamps
Full suspension set(used) - which will be custom stiffened or something better.
In addition to this,my front and rear engine mounts have arrived. Nothing fancy, no MGP/$GP .. indian make. Temporary till i find something better(Read : PU). Got front and rear for Rs1600. ( SGP was 3.5k)

Car has done 81000km .. almost everything(really!) has been replaced. Its now time to go turbo.

We can see lot of efforts in sourcing the parts. How much did the EXEDY clutch cost you?

Car is still at the garage getting painted so here is a small update on cost of misc. parts.

Bought new headlamps .. Rs2100 each

There are three types available.
The originals from the company - Around Rs3800-4k
Imported ones - around Rs 2100-2500
Local ones - around Rs 1500 *avoid*

Picked up a new set of igniton coils also.Though I can't remember the price .. need to check the bill again will post after that.

For all of you who have been following this,I'm really sorry for the delay in posting pics of the car! I still haven't taken them, but i will put them up by the weekend.

Okay, so the jerking issue that i had still hasn't disappeared so U.M. hooked my car to the tech II this evening.

Man that is some cool gadgetry. It has every single suzuki car made in the world on it ; from the aerios to the GVs to the mpfi gypsies!

For our baleno, the ecu comes under the India/Pakistan zone and the vehicle code is MY416 (will come in handy if ur buying misc stuff from abroad/if ur checking the other suzuki forums)
Every zone and variant( type I/II/III) has a different ecu ..

Anyways, after all this it refused to read anything from my ecu giving the msg ' Check cable and make sure ignition is on'
We tried everything, disconnected the RD ecu but it still refused to work.

They asked me to leave the car for 2 days with them to check wiring etc.I really couldn't leave the car so this will have to get sorted later.

Here are some pics ..

Re: My comprehensive BALENO ownership thread

Binz, sorry for picking up such an old thread but could you let me know where you source your parts from? I am on the lookout for an EXEDY stage 1 clutch. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated!!

Cheers.
Sharath
