Hi TeamBHPians,

The silky silver Ritz VDI ABS has crossed the 10,000 kms and it went well so far except the bang by the truckwala's and the restoration by MSM. It's 10021 odo reading to day. I am planning to take it to the MSM for service this week probably on 8th. On return I will post the review and new photos.

Graphics

In fact the car has graphics on both sides. But due to the change on new quarter panel and the denting work in Rear door. Some of my friends are telling that it looks nice with only front graphics. I am confused whether to take out the rear graphics or paste the rear one. Here is the old pictures.

Nice pics navan , and a lot of driving you've been doing. Don't you think it will be good to merge this with your original ownership thread, that way everything will be at one place ?

Hi Sdp,

Nice seeing you again here. I thought that it would be better to go for long time ownership after 10k. You are right I do travel more. I get guests my old colleagues, students and parents from far away place like the Himalayas. They do like to visit Pondy, Madurai, Dindigul, Rameswaram, Vellore etc. If you feel so I will migrate this thread back to Ritz VDI ABS Silky Silver 6500K. Please respond.

Congrats on successful completion of 10k kms. Its time to put your detailed report of the car. Like mileage, drive, problems faced, etc. And you like and dislikes about the car if any.

Regards.

IMO, I liked the rear end graphics. It adds more goodness to the rear end of the car (in the side view). Why are you changing the quarter panel?

Hi Vaishakr,

The initial report contains all the queries of yours in the Forum test drive and initial ownership. Please check the thread Ritz VDI ABS Silky Silver 6500kms. Every detail is there. Quarter panel story is also there with detailed picture.

Congrats on the 10000 mark. Almost flawless is it ?! Your ride is screaming for alloys. Get OEM ones. They are the best for the Ritz. Check the 'Official Ally wheel show off thread'. Skip a few pages from the last and see member 'Gandhi's' ride. I loved it!

Hi Pervez,

Thanks for the alloy suggestion. Love to do that. But I have to wait till march for my funds. I always use OEM and MGA accessories only.

The Silky Silver Ritz VDI went for the final 3rd free service and came back at 10094kms odo. There is a rattling in the dash board. The mSM people were ready to rectify if I would be given time for one more day to remove the Dash and do the checking. Unforunately lots of pre occuppied programmes. Guests are expected almost every alternate day. So it was not possible to hand over the car for one or two days. Any how they have promised to do the job even after 3rd service if it is given back with sufficient time to look into the matter. So it might go back to MSM after the Pongal/Sankaranthi.

Hi Navan as you crossed 10000 km mark why don't you take out little time for the other Ritzians and share your views about Silky like - engine's performance, FE, handling, suspensions etc.

Your car looks good except that air deflactor (it is purely my opinion only).
I have seen this kind of air deflactors in SUV's and Amby's but it will take away the beauty of the car when fixed on sedans and hatchbacks? (ofcourse it depends on individual taste too)

Cheers!

Hi Gaddiwale,

I have migrated from Initial test drive from Ritz VDI ABS SILky silver 6500 to 10k. So the past performance is given there you can see that. Now after 10k it came from service on 10074 and it is on the run of 10228. Till now milage is 21 to 24 on Highway and 18-19 in city. Engine so far no problem.Any how next week I will give the review after 3rd Service. To day I have fixed my Team BHP sticker in an appropriate place and wwill be snapped and posted tomorrow.

My Silky has completed its II and final free service. The rattling prevails. It was told that it has to be checked after opening the dash board. Busy time waiting for the right time to do it soon.

On day my Ritz crossed its 12868 kms. That may be the starting odo reading for the February. Everything is smooth except the minor rattle which is not digged out till now. I am planning to leave it to MSM after a couple of days at the end of my urgent works.
