Earlier, I used to get the car back after service from Whitefield Honda on the same day. For the last one year, I am getting the vehicle back only on the next day. Seems, Honda is really selling well these days :-). i can feel the difference when standing in the service reception.

Any way, 2+2 year warranty period is over and so I am servicing the car now only at the end of every 5,000 km. Since the vehicle is primarily used for office commute, it takes quite some time to run it for 5000 km.
Is it possible for you to summarize the issues if any faced with the car so that people can get a quick idea of the maintenance cost of the City.

Thanks

Mine is a 5 year old iVtec model. I believe most of the parts were imported from Japan at that time. City was not heavily localized as it is now. I paid a good amount at that era for a car which hardly had any gizmos.

I changed breakpad and battery once. Since they qualify as consumables, I am not factoring them in as a quality issue. Apart from that, an outgo that I had was to change a rubber bush in the fuel lid which costed approximately Rs 100

10th year update: Silver Honda City AT comes home

A short update after a long time. Car has completed 10 years on last Shivrathri. Odo shows 10 kms short of 72k kms.

There are no quality issues until this time. The only 2 things I could harp about are the jaded Honda logo in the steering center and a petrol lid harness which is loose. Other than that, the quality is exceptional.

The only parts I have changed till now are the consumables like battery, tires, brake pads, bulbs etc. No rattles or loose parts. Car still gives me the same feeling as that of the new car I drove out 10 years back.

Posting some pics.
