Hello Sir,
One of my Uncles still has an immaculate Peugeot 309 which has done around 42000 kms. As usual he is looking for a dashboard panel as the one he has developed a few cracks courtesy Indian Summer. Also he has a problem with the starter. The vehicle fires up in the first crank when in cold, but when the car has been heated up the starter just does not crank. I suspect that it might be the starter's bushes which warrants a replacement. The starter is of Lucas make and any help in guiding them to nearest reliable lucas service station should be good.

Would you have any knowledge of good service stations/mecahics in Bangalore who can work on it?

The horn at the end of the indicator stalk was quite common in the old Mahindra Jeeps too. CJ500 jeeps with the Peugeot engines!

Does anyone in Mumbai need a 309 grille? Have a white one I want to give away.

Re: My PAL Peugeot 309 - A French Connection

I used to see an immaculately maintained Peugeot 309 during my college days. It was in perfectly running condition, even the interiors were in good condition. I believe this particular car is powered by a petrol engine.

Here is a photo of the car:

I came across a video detailing the origin and story of the 309.
