re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

IMO the cruze should go in weird and whacky given those changes to the front grill and alloys to flashy for my liking.
Lancer is a beauty. Simple and elegant.

re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Good thread! I'll be watching this thread for some inspiration to do some work on my Fiesta. But I'm sure this thread will get heated up soon :-)

Evrything on that cruze is drool stuff, HUs look really fab and those alloys are red hot, only thing I feel that is letting it down is the black sticker job on the grill.

re: PICS : Tastefully Modified Cars in India

Indeed a very fine idea for a thread!

However, the universal truth is that one man's Gorgeous & Tasteful mod job is another man's W&W mod job, or someone else’s dud. So I look forward to seeing the heated debates on this thread more than the cars themselves

The Red Chevy Cruze is good, except for the over-chromed grill, the black paint on the bumper and the toy-car-ish looking faux air scoop on the hood. The alloys aren't what I would call "smoking hot". That's a very common design. However, full marks to the panoramic sun roof look.

The White Lancer is real nice, except for that oversized "wannabe" rear spoiler. Without that, it would've looked respectfully elegant to me.

This AUDI is parked in lanes behind METRO cinema in Mumbai.
The HOOD, DASH & REAR SPOILER have carbon fibre works & the whole car is in awesome MATT BLACK. My fav are alloys.

Well, I'd intended this thread to have pictures; currently, 4 out of 23 posts have 'em. For all the "this-belongs-to-W&W" and "this-is-common" sorta personal opinions, I'm sure everyone has Facebook and Twitter accounts.

^^ +1 to that. A subtle looking one with some decent alloys would have been good enough. Too loud for my tastes.

I think i know which car you talking about..is it the old crv? Some person had brought it to my college around a week back.
Also ive seen a matt black Suzuki Grand Vitara, a matte black merc C class with the boot having normal black instead of matt.
The best matte finish i saw in any Bangalore car was the Honda civic. Boy did that car look hot.!!

Spotted this one in Singapore last year. Looked very nice in flesh. The rear treatment (not shown) was not working well for the car though.

IMO, all modifications are like that. Tastefully done for one, but weird and wacky for other .

I felt except for some loud bits (e.g.; the black paint-job in the front), the Cruze looked pretty ok. Probably a sports/GT version from the manufacturer could look quite like this.
