Sunroof for Baleno

Hey guys i need your help. My friend has a 2005 sep Baleno VXI & wants to get a sun roof. We are considering the Webasto Sunroofs. What do you suggest? He should go for the outer sliding sunroof or any other? How much will it cost & somewhere in mind he has a doubt that after market sunroofs are not that good. Is this true?

This is very much true. Check with autopsyche. If I remember right, he told me the same about after market sunroof. Water leakage is a common issue there.

Webasto are the Best, BUT cutting the roof and the fitting are the grey areas, because of which all the problems happen.
the fitter Has to be Perfect and Trained

Webasto is a good choice amongst what is available here. Also, webasto comes OE in the Opel Astra Club and I have had no problems for the last 5 yrs in our Opel.

Very Important: Make sure it is fitted by a professional.

As several people have pointed out, apart from the build quality of the sun-roof, its the precision and quality of the fitting that makes the difference... Won't do any good having a 50K sunroof with the side leaking.

Ensure you talk to couple of customers from wherever you are getting your sunroof installed. Webasto would be a good choice as worldwide, they are OE on many luxury models as well.

Sumit

Webasto are the only decent ones around, atleast they cover leakages and all under the two year warranty so its a pretty fair deal.

The outer sliding one Skyslider 300 Classic large is the most economical option (which we just fitted in impact's corolla). and yes the shade has to be manually used not just in this one but also in the top of the line sunroofs, its only the glass thats automatic, the rolling/sliding shades are always manual.

Talkin from personal experience ...I have an showroom fitted sun-roof in my accord and i have had several problems.......I wouldnt trust any other company but Webasto, fitted by trained professional...will be a lil more expensive but its worth it. Since your in Delhi Arush can do it for you, if it leaks in the monsoons you go catch his throat haha

Thanks chevy those are the correct prices, caroholic you can put two in a baleno as well. There is a discontinued model from the webasto range which was the Hollandia 500 which had dual sunroofs, infact we did put it on a baleno and it did look very cool!
