The Polco cover can get ripped while washing if you're not careful.

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion, I used mild detergent to clean this cover. Although cover was very dirty but dust came off very easily.

However I did manage to tear small part of this cover near roof antenna while it taking off. Now I need to get that fixed before I use this cover again. Has anyone got a similar tear repaired?

Regards.

Seeing more than reasonable dust on my car each time I remove the cover, I washed it a few days ago. I hosed it down and was horrified by the amount of dirt that came off it, even from the inside. All that dirt has been sanding my paintwork!

It is far from pure white, but I don't think that matters: the loose dust has been washed away. One can even feel the difference.

Same with my car cover. So, I wash my car cover every two weeks rinsing it in a bucket with detergent. This take me around 10 to 15 mins to rinse and it dries off quickly.

Need to get the Dupont covers for my Ford Fiesta ( Classic type ) and for an Maruti 800. I am worried about the fit got the Fiesta, looking for something that fits snugly on the Fiesta and has neat mirror pockets to fit the mirrors well too, any suggestions?

Did you find something? Me too in same boat as yours :)

I have got a Polco cover - soft material, but don't think it is water proof. Yet to put it on my car to check the fit. Will do that this weekend, post pictures and share my thoughts on the fit and other points. It cost me about 1,900 Rs.

Got a cover with the basic accessories kit from Nexa for my S Cross but had returned it after the car was stained because of the cover. After 20 days, went to the showroom as my RM didn't even return my calls. Spoke to the showroom manager and he gave me a tyvek cover and told me that they will bear the cost difference. This is the first time I am using the tyvek.

Hi has anybody bought tyvek for ecosport? Is it a good fit? Please advise

My tyvek cover holding water after yesterday's rain. It's more than 5 years old. Even though it's costly, well worth it. It has elastic all around. So doesn't get blown by wind etc.

Had to leave early today, so didn't clean it. Just took off the cover, rolled it and put it aside. After I came back from work, tried putting back the cover when I realised it was still wet as it was holding water from yesterday's rain. I have just started using the tyvek cover. It is really good.

How is the fit? Is segment D the right fit for the car, since the same is recommended for bigger cars like Corolla, BMW 3 series etc. I plan to buy the same for my fiesta 1.6s. Can you post some pictures please.

Tph Silver Series Animal Proof Car Cover 1 year update. :)

Very satisfied with it. The elastics are still good. Has gone a bit dirty after usage. Although I must admit that I have never washed it. The only wash that it has received is from Rains.

I still dust it properly before removing it and take care of it as I do of my Car. Recently, some idiots were bursting crackers near everyone's car and it has had 2-3 burn marks on it due to that. Didn't bore a hole in it and that is remarkable in terms quality in my opinion.

Seeing your update, I am getting really interested in this cover now.
I have used 2 sets of Polco Dupont Tyvek now, and although it was a good cover but I did't get more than 10-12 months of life from them. Plus they cost close to 2500 Rs, so if I and getting these for 5K and manage to get 2 years out of it, it is atleast a similar value proposition if not worse. The another issue with Polco is that after a couple of months it starts letting some fine dust in. It is tolerable but it is not completely dust proof. In rains, if the cover is any older than 2-3 months, water goes in which makes the cover stick to the car body and then while taking it off, you run a high risk of tearing it. Both my sets were torn after the rains even after being reasonable cautious with these.

Will keep you guys updated

Wow, yes, it certainly is!

Which of their models is this?

My Tyvek is really getting worn out --- which is my fault, not its, as I didn't care for it during the period when it didn't have a car to cover, and it got used as a cat bed. I think it is time for something new.

I park my car under a car port. It may get dripped on, but rain is not so much a problem here anyway (its absence is, this year). It gets sat on by the cat: claws are not a problem, but paw marks are.

I'm amazed at the wide range, and huge price range available from TPH! Hardly know where to start, but hey, I'm browsing!
