So my black & Decker died on me in middle of washing my car.
Yeah just died. Gave some weird smell and was making some funny sounds and then went quiet.
i tried in vain to get it started didn't help.
Now have to take it to service centre and get it checked.When i bought this i didn't know that it didn't have a the foam attachment,In-case if the repair cost is high i would like to buy a new one of any brand but with a foam lance. Which one would you guys recommend.

Nope, that is not mandatory. Infact that will work only if the pressure washer is self priming and the entire length from the washer inlet to the bucket is completely air tight.
The hose adapter is faulty. Based on whether you are using a 1/2 inch or a 3/4 inch garden hose get the appropriate sized hose adapter.

You can hook it up to a tap as well, Sahil. I had a similar issue as the hose I was using was too stiff. The moment i replaced it with a supple hose, it started sealing well.

Wanted to inform BHPians that Resqtech has launched two pressure washers over at Amazon. The first is a 135 bar, induction motor unit at 8k; the second is a 1800 watt universal motor unit at the same pressure rating. Both with 2-year warranties.
I'd buy one of these at a snap, but for the damning fact that my basement car parking doesn't have a power connection.
(I am not affiliated to Resqtech in any way--apart from excessive desire for a pressure washer.)
The other deal I saw was on the Begmann Typhoon tyre inflator--but I think my desire for inflators has worn off. Still open to persuasion.

you can buy the electrical cable (to the length that you want) which is used by camera man (45rs/metre) and connect a 15 amp socket to it and a 2 pin. Its a 5 minute work and the shop keeper did it for me.

Puzzled by that...
What is the practical difference? Why would they offer both: why would someone buy one rather than the other?
Not impressed with the pricing, which seems to be set to match the import price of the competition, which sells for substantially less elsewhere in the world.

The more expensive one has an induction motor.
There is a 10℅ discount and another 10℅ on specific debit cards.

Is the universal motor better? Here is the link to the first of the products. Pricing is less than Bosch, right?

The induction motor will be quieter than the universal motor. I have a Bosch pressure washer that nearly wakes up my neighborhood as it has a universal motor. But other than the noise, I have no complaint.
In the same page, there are other better options - like Karcher available at about 5.5 k.

From what I learn, Thad, the induction motor whould be better; the universal motor would be noisier. Anyone who is an electrical engineer here would know better. My source is
