I got a 60W light bar (6 cree LEDs 10W each) for the Safari.
On a recent trip, got a chance to test it out and made a review video.

First up, wide road
The bar is mounted way down low (near lower part of the front bumper)
Only single bar used.
Same exposure settings used in each sequence so as to give accurate comparison

I saw the entire video. Yes, I am talking about the high beam of car stock bulbs. The Cree bar just outshines the stock headlamps. Simply amazing..

The high beam pics are from the car stock bulbs.
This review shows the comparative power of the Cree 60W bar.
Compared to stock bulbs, the light bar is very powerful.

For how long have you been using this?

From what I know, there are reliability concerns over using such high power LEDs for hours together.
I wonder if they will last long if used on all-night drives.

Also, they looked quite dazzling when viewed head-on. Can perhaps blind the oncoming driver on a 2 lane road. Are these road legal?

Perfect timing! I was just searching for aux lamp solutions. Any pics of the product itself and the installation? And how much did it cost you?

I have tested these for approx one month or so. Have used them continously too, and they do not get very warm(Heat sinking is good).
The problem happes if you have very small bar size. With 8" long bar, you have enough eat dissipation.
When mounting, care should be taken to leave open space behind bar.
As for dazzle, any Aux Spot lamp will dazzle you. It depends on where you aim.

The biggest culprits are "flood" throw LEDs. They throw little on road, but dazzle all around. With spot, you can aim them towards the left of your vehicle.

As for legality, its same as that of any aux lamp(Hella,etc.,)

But I am not sure about the 200W long 35" bars

These are installed by using a rail mount. I have connected them to the Fiber glass on safari bull bar.

Thank you, such a setting makes the comparison Apples to apples.

I did some research to locate this online, but didn't see any in Indian websites. Appreciate if you can give some idea about how you bought it.

I collect lasers and flashlights as a hobby. Then I try to mod them, blow them up, overdrive them, and do all sorts of hanky panky.

So I got this as a sample order directly from a manufacturer.

I can just say ballpark price for these is approx ~ 6000 INR.

What would be the advantage of such a light bar vis-a-vis Rallye 500FF or similar aux lights? From the pics, the light output seems pretty similar to what some others have posted in the aux lights thread.

You cannot compare lights like that.
To compare two lights, you have to take pictures with the exact same exposure. A slow enough shutter, and even a candle can be as bright as the sun.
LED lights have much higher output than Halogen. For example, this 6 LED bar puts out close to 4200 lumens.
A 60W spot lamp will top at 1200-1300 lumens.

If you are in Delhi, you can check it out with your own eyes.

For example, this 3 LED torch I have puts out 2000 lumens+. All in my hand. Does get a little warn after a few minutes, though not really uncomfortable to touch.

Fantastic review. Sooner, I think all lights will be replaced by LEDs everywhere.

Few questions that I want to ask

1. Can I select between spot, flood LEDs in this combination? I mean, I just want to switch on only spots or floods among these six.

2. I searched on internet and found that, it is quite heavy around 1.8 Kgs each (They have written 3.7 Kgs per pair). Could you confirm?

1. Nope, there is no selective switching. The entire light bar gets 12V supply and switches on
2. The weight is 1kg-1.2kg each, the 3.7kg could be shipping weight including carton.

Longer bars have higher weight.

Most interesting throw patterns. When you say "aim" I presume you are adjusting the entire light bar to the left. I saw some ads on Ebay for light bars that had a 6x10W sources, but a combo of flood & spot. Is your lightbar similar?

Yes, mine is combo
2 LEDs are Flood (Each side)
4 center LEDs are spot

I have aimed right low. Right in front of the car. The side lighting is due to the wide beam of the flood LEDs.

Those LED's surely are better buy than halogens. What is the approx. file of these LED's. Normal halogens might conk-off anytime, if this happens with the LED's then it is a expensive affair. One more thing I noticed is that in snowy environment as in your video the glare (from snow) is too much, is it so while driving too? OT: which place was it?

P.S: Flood means lesser distance, wider through and spot means long distance and narrow through. Is it?

P.P.S: So, are these better buy than HID's for that cost? Can these lights serve as replacements for stock lights, as per you?
