No, not yet. The April release date is for the US R18 Civic (FA1/FG1). We'll have to wait a bit for the one for the FD1, which is our JDM Civic.

Any updates on this one? It's been a pain waiting for a reliable after market tune for years! I have been waiting to turbo my car, once flashpro is available!

Is Hondata even working on FD1? I doubt, now that 9th Gen civic is also out the focus would move there.

Is it feasible to swap our ECU with USDM ECU, has anyone tried it?

Haltech ECU's work perfectly with the Civic ECU, I am using Sprint 500 on my Turbo Civic and it works like a charm, Even RD0901 is compatible. I doubt hondata will have anything to offer for the FD1 with the 9th Gen out.

Does AC, Radio and diagnostics still work? I hear that with standalone ECUs, you loose all these.

Yes, AC and Radio work, Don't really know about diagnostics as I haven't really tried it. AC Radio and other parameters are left to the stock ECU to control, The Haltech takes over all the parameters for the engine.

Hondata isn't going to release anything for the JDM R18 motors/ECU. Just curious, what ECU does the Indian Civic have? Swapping to a different Honda ECU with Hondata support makes as much sense as putting down big money on a standalone like Haltech. They both have their purposes.

Considering the fact that the Accords/CRVs sold here probably have ECUs that should work with Hondata KPro, I'm surprised to see nobody is putting K series motors into Civics. They should be a pretty easy swap.

Motor Swap = illegal vehicle = No insurance = no resale
Unless done properly may also mean lots of problems
besides 6 kmpl will make even an enthusiast cringe in a country obsessed with - Kitana deti hai ;)
(We live in a country where petrol is taxed obsessively).

I'm confused. You were the one talking about standalone Ecus. You'd be surprised what a K swap can do in a light car. The single figure mileage can be attributed to the weight of the chassis as much as to the displacement of the engine.

Hey guys any ideas about remapping the city ivtec?

Looking at the data in dot's post http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/modifi...ml#post2391581 it appears to be a remap on the foreign spec Civic, with very marginal gains.

India state of tune is 10 ponies less, so even a simple fix of loading the European map will do wonders.
