Am yet to learn how to observe things I thought the door was an OE as its not a new one for me. But the Suzuki badging is hilarious.

A similar Vespa Ape, made in India was gifted to Pope for his personal ride. I don't think they will use it. These retro ones are in fashion these days, also used as a taxi.

The added attraction is the stoic cow atop on its ride of a lifetime !

Oh the famous Jugaad or another name is "Maruta". Very famous in Punjab, Haryana. The sheer simplicity of the design is what commands a . Safety can be a matter of discussion tough.

Well they also use (infact I would say all of them) Samrat or like single cylinder Diesel engines made in Agra (Rajkot is another one market), the cheapest one get. This city is famous for the thriving engine / generator industry apart from the Tajmahal.

^^^ there was a pic in some paper of an amby converted to Merc E class - nothing less - @ Kasargod. The guy seems to have spent in range of 6 of 8 L for the conversion, complete with blinking lights in OVRM (probably original part).

re: Pics of weird & wacky mod jobs in India!

Saw these two THINGS today, Swift at Andheri juhu link Road, and Indica at Andheri west. Indica is a total mess with almost all shining add ons all over.
Swift looks like is also been done up at a road side garage.
The wheel covers were also voilet coloured .eeeeeeeeeek.Adding fuel to fire the guy sitting inside was wearing Voilet tie.

Spotted this Honda City in Mahim. It almost dazzles the eyes and as you can see it says "Pink Qube" on the number plate. Infact, I have spotted this same city on carter road quite a few times in the evening.

Nothing weird or whacky about that swift that you have posted. In-fact fellow member karthik247 had a swift with the same color and from what I knew it was one of the best looking swifts in this part of the country. Check his garage am sure he still has pics of them.

@Naveen: You are contradicting yourself, there in that thread you have called the car decently modded and here you have posted the same car in W&W thread.
