Well I am someone who never prefers extra switches in the cabin. And if you indeed use a switch, the next question that would arise is when do you use the high beam of the fog lights. If we have to use it to flash against an oncoming vehicle, then the switch would be cumbersome compared to the stalk. Otherwise, when there is no oncoming traffic is there, I can easily manage without the fog lights itself and just use the 100-90 main lights. Hence, for me either I use the high beam of the fog lights with the main beam or I just dont use it at all.

Unfortunately my old phone which had all the whatsapp chats got damaged and I didn't take the backup, so any evidence I had is now gone.
The projectors are now out of warranty so it won't be appropriate for me to ask for a replacement just because of being a member of this forum.
I know a few people who have good experience with the same seller.
I just shared my personal experience and have no grudge with the seller. I have already made up my mind to change the complete setup with Morimotos once the lockdown get over.

How's the experience so far? As audioholic mentioned, is it affecting the distant vision of the driver?

The Jeep Compass belongs to my Uncle and I have had no personal experience in driving it in the night in real time over long distance travels but post the upgrade my Uncle has been extremely happy with the light throw and has not reported any issues thus far.

Re: iPHCAR Bi-Xenon Projector Foglamp upgrade (Blaze India)

I had this opportunity to try this awesome fog lamps from iPHCar on my Renault Kwid. They have a massive throw, a sharp low beam cutoff and a wide spread beam pattern. No other light mod would give you this much happiness in terms of per rupee spent

In short, if your fog lamps are either a 2.5 inch or a 3 inch diameter unit, you should get this installed - eyes closed. Driving at night has been so much relaxing with these lights on. The attached pics below would speak for itself.

P.S. If you get them, please use them with the high and low beam functionality enabled.

Fog lamps only:

Fog lamps and Philips LED highbeams:

Please dont miss the sharp blue cutoff line, fogs only:

Hello Sir, I am also planning to install similar projectors in my 1st generation Ertiga. I have a question for you. Did you find any difficulties because of bulb color temperature during rainy season? It rains cats and dogs where I stay and little worried about 5500K color temperature.

I think you should try 4700K bulbs, even better if you can get 4300K. You can contact the seller and they should be able to ship those to you without any additional charges.

My first preference was for 4300K bulbs but seller said they ship only 5500K bulbs which come as package. The response was similar from couple of other sellers too. Seller was helpful and mentioned he can arrange 4300K bulb with similar warranty period but performance may not be same as the bulb that comes with entire package.

Hi,

You can get in touch with Blaze India, they have a FB page as well. The last price I knew of was around Rs 6700 for the entire kit. I see you are based out of Delhi. You can get the same stuff with installation from reputed shop in Karol Bagh for around Rs 7000. One word of caution though. Please do not let the installer install just the full/high beams. It would be a havoc for oncoming traffic.

Thanks for sharing the details. I honestly do not trust Karol Bagh shops, especially for electricals. I have seen various YouTube videos of Karol Bagh shops installing iPH projectors with different kinds/makes of ballasts which makes me doubt the authenticity of the product. Also lately they are recommending a brand AES over iPH.
Does Blaze provide any installation support? Or do they recommend an installer?
Can you share image of your ballast?

Cheers

Hi Yogii,

I donot have the image of the ballast. The car is with my parents now. Yes, as per my last conversation I had with Blaze India, they would guide you to a couple of installers in Delhi. Apologies, I donot remember the names they suggested.

AES is a brand older than IpHcar. Till a few years back they made "Chinese" grade products. Off lately , about 2 yrs they have started making quality products too, at a premium. Can go with it as AES fast start ballast in comparison to normal IPHcar ballast.

Installing these are quite simple and many have done DIY. Just replace existing fog lamp. It's just the high beam solenoid connection that is little tricky. If you don't want to headlight high beam wire, can use a fuse tap to connect to high beam fuse which should be in the engine bay fuse box. A fuse tap will cost you additional 125.00 but comes in pack of 3 or 5. Saw listed a few months back on Amazon India too.
